Barbara is a Licensed Professional Counselor in NJ and PA, and a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor in NJ. Barbara earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Temple University and received her master’s degree from Chestnut Hill College in Counseling and Clinical Psychology. Barbara’s approach is warm, encouraging, and collaborative. She has experience working with adults in early and long-term recovery. Barbara practices trauma-informed counseling and has experience working with clients who are survivors of childhood sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, mental abuse, and neglect.

Often times, we deal with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, health issues, etc. without much emotional support, which is ironically when it feels we need it most. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20-plus years experience in the human services field and I have served individuals and families in a variety of capacities. I have experience working with individuals of all ages, including teenagers, college students, and adults. My primary areas of focus have been treating depression, anxiety, relationship/peer issues, grief issues, and family issues. I believe that mental health is a key component of our overall wellness and that the time is now to address the stressors and thoughts that prevent us from meeting our full human potential.
