Welcome to Rosewood Mental Health Therapy, where your "mind & heart heal." I am an Integrative-Holistic Mental Health Therapist. I bring together the mind, heart, body, spirit & soul of a person who is striving to better their life. I believe we all have answers to our questions deep within, & sometimes we need a good listener to help us in, "feeling it, expressing it & healing it", not only through one's words, but through their art & creative expression. I work with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, seniors, families, couples & the family pet too! Sessions are virtual &/or in-person & I have a certified pet therapy dog!

I have been working with adolescents and young adults for over a decade. I assist my clients in working through and overcoming anxiety/stress, depression, grief, vocational, familial, and relationship issues. I also work with clients who prefer to resolve, manage, and analyze life challenges from a faith based perspective. In addition, I work with clients in developing and implementing coping skills to deal with life's obstacles.

I am a Professional Counselor and Art Therapist who has been working with children, adolescents, parents, and families for the past 10 years. I have experience in residential treatment, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient, and in-home counseling. I use multiple approaches and methods to help clients toward their goals, including a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, and trauma work. I am also trained in the Nurtured Heart Approach, as well as the Nurturing Parenting Curriculum, which helps me to connect with all family members involved.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, cultural assimilation, cultural trauma, transitions, disordered eating, and body image. I am especially passionate about supporting those coming from immigrant family backgrounds as well as first-generation individuals in understanding their identity in regards to their values, cultural background, and ethnicity.
