In recent years, I have narrowed my focus to working with clients searching for meaning and purpose in one's life, adjusting to significant life events and most recently specializing in resolving marital/family conflict and working with families through divorce.

I am a Licensed psychotherapist with experience in behavioral health. I treat adults, adolescents, and couples who are experiencing difficulty with anxiety, depression, divorce, relationships, anger, loss and trauma. I am also a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug counselor. I work with individuals and families who are experiencing addiction difficulties in their lives. Together our goal is to change maladaptive thinking and behaviors through a therapeutic process in a safe and nurturing environment. Combining Twelve- Step philosophy and traditional and integrative therapies, clients undergo a comprehensive discharge planning process that ensures they will have a strong recovery.

I have several years experience treating substance use. Utilizing a variety of evidenced-based theories, clinical interventions, personal experience and empathy, I offer individual and group therapy for adolescents, adults and professionals struggling with substance use disorders. I am a licensed psychotherapist specializing in individual and family system therapy. Focusing on the awareness of the connection that often exists between family of origin and adult behavior, my treatment philosophy is tailored to helping clients to utilize the connection of these experiences in a positive way. I am committed to bringing empathy and compassion to the difficult and challenging therapeutic process that promotes growth and well-being. I feel privileged as a therapist to assist in one's journey of self-discovery and emotional fulfillment.

I hold Certificates from The Center for the Study of Anorexia and Bulimia, where I am a supervisor; am a past president and current faculty member of the NY State Society of Ericksonian Hypnosis and Psychotherapy; and have supervised in the Graduate Programs for Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Social Work at Hunter College/CUNY.

I've worked in clinical social work for nearly 30 years. I have a perspective that understands anxiety issues, especially during life transitions. However, I recognize the resilience that allows each of us to survive and thrive. I believe that effective therapy bridges the gap between anxiety and that resilience.My experiences in domestic violence, in hospitals with seriously ill patients, with adolescents and their families in drug and alcohol treatment centers, and ten years as a school social worker in an affluent suburb have afforded me the opportunity to assist clients through challenges we face.

I have been practicing individual, marital, family and group psychotherapy for adults and children for over 30 years. I am a trainer, educator, and practitioner of group psychotherapy and psychodrama and am renowned in my field as an innovator, author, and teacher. I offer supervision for mental health professionals and training in action methods as well as a two year training program in Souldrama. I specialize in groups, relationships, training and supervision.

Dr. Susan White is a NJ licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist. She has dedicated private practice work to adults interested in individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. A clinical interest in the area of anxiety-related concerns has prompted Dr. White to secure additional training in exposure therapies. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Dr. White worked in finance and consulting allowing her clients access to elevated executive coaching as well.

As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with specialized training in neuropsychology, I focus on brain-behavior relationships and the use of evidence-based practices. I completed my postdoctoral training in neuropsychology at Yale University. I have also trained at Weill-Cornell Medical College and Columbia University in the treatment and evaluation of neurobehavioral disorders. At present, I am an adjunct professor at NYU in the department of Applied Psychology. In my practice, I employ cognitive-behavioral techniques to help patients understand the relationships between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
