I personally know the struggle of daily stressors and can relate to most of my clients. I am a mother, I was a student, I am a worker, I am a human just like my client. I speak in universal terms when it comes to beliefs. I also tend to talk in metaphors, when giving examples. Everyone is unique within themselves; therefore, every therapy approach should be catered to the client. I tend to incorporate a holistic approach; the client will benefit most if open minded.

Hi! Making the step you are making right now is HUGE and I'm grateful that you are considering me as your therapist. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) focusing on depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, interpersonal conflicts, and addiction. I believe that therapy is not a "one-size-fits-all," so I work from a person-centered approach and incorporate treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Everyday you come home exhausted. Anxiety and stressed has drained you. Normal everyday life feels just to heavy. Panic attacks, lack of sleep and intrusive thoughts are now just a part of your day. Depression creeps in and you think how did I get here. Family and friends try to talk to you but it hard to talk to them. who would really understand what life feels like to you. Things have happened in the past that still linger. Hypervigilance, mistrust and feeling unsafe has become part of your core being and if feels unsettling. The struggle to stay present is real and tiresome. Feeling joy feels impossible but not hopeless.

Whether you are in the midst of crisis, stress, depression, or tired of feeling stuck in negative cycles, pursuing counseling can be the first step in your journey of relief, healing, and freedom. As a counselor I am committed to providing a nurturing and nonjudgmental environment in which you can feel validated, gain insight, and be supported in taking steps to make positive change. In working with children and adults, I have found that creating a safe space for clients to share their story is extremely important to successful therapy outcomes.

The counseling relationship provides a unique opportunity to partner with a caring professional to examine life events together in a safe environment, generate personal insight/awareness and identify areas for empowered change. We all have the greatest potential for growth when we understand our thoughts, feelings, behaviors and the critical themes in our individual stories. This process allows us to navigate through adversity toward authentic meaning and purpose.

Psychoanalyst: Psychotherapy, counseling, and mental health therapy for anxiety, and depression. I listen, and help in a relaxing laid back atmosphere with ambient lighting and leather recliner. Heart race? Panic? Palms sweat? Feel disconnected? Trouble sleeping? Dizzy? Lack energy? Unexplained muscle tightness? Trouble with relationships or work? I've been quoted in The Press, and on radio. Some results and improvement can be seen even after one visit. Most people have had problems. Together we can overcome your problems, and you can succeed! I am a retired professor, NOT A PSYCHIATRIST. Medication referrals
