I have been working in the human services field for over 25 years and have experience with many different people. I have studied transpersonal and applied psychology in undergraduate school and I have my Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling: Clinical Mental Health Track. I have always loved helping others find insight into their lives and watching them flourish. Every human being has the potential to thrive and there are no lost causes. My ideal client is a young adult facing overwhelming life challenges. They might feel lost amid trauma, loss, or big changes, even though they seem okay to others. They struggle with emotions like sadness and stress and need a safe place to talk, heal, and learn healthy ways to cope. They want to find peace and purpose, and they seek support to understand themselves better, grow, and face life with confidence. They're ready to explore, heal, and become the best version of themselves, knowing they don't have to do it alone.

My ideal client is seeking therapy because they are feeling sad. It almost feels like depression. The client is not sure how to stop feeling this way. They also don't know why they are feeling this way. They want to learn what is making them feel sad. The client would like to learn strategies to help identify triggers and learn coping skills to decrease the depression.

As a newly licensed associate counselor and lay Christian counselor, I have honed my expertise in women's issues, trauma-informed care, emotional disturbance, and family conflict. I am passionate about educating and instilling a deep understanding of mental health disorders, trauma, and the importance of nurturing a healthy relationship with oneself.

I am a licensed professional counselor that has been working in behavioral health for over 20 years. I am a lifelong resident of South Jersey and obtained my Bachelors and Masters degrees from La Salle University in Philadelphia.

Hello! My name is Dr. Chelece-Atavia Brown, a Pre-Licensed Social Worker (LSW) for New Jersey and a certified facilitator in Teen Mental Health First Aid by the National Council of Well-Being. I have experience in providing therapeutic services for children, teens, adults, couples, and groups. I assist high-achieving Black women and men with navigating life stressors. I'm passionate about bridging the gap between faith and mental health to increase an individual's quality of life.

My ideal client is one that is open to change. A client that, even if they see no way through, they trust that I am there to do all I can to help them, not just to listen, watch the clock, and end a session, but to be invested in their transformation from start to finish. My ideal client is one who is comfortable, even if not at first, celebrating themselves and not being fearful about trying again. Things aren't always successful on our first try, but my ideal client will understand this, embrace the lesson in each situation, and be willing to use what they've learned to try again.

My ideal clients are people who have been unable to find someone they can pull back the veil covering their heart because of past betrayals, lack of trust, cultural roadblocks, or some other barrier that keeps the true source of their burden hidden. I am a Licensed Social Worker with a passion for decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting the health and well being of my clients. For my undergraduate degree, I moved from Central Jersey (Yes! It exists!) to South Jersey to attend Stockton University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from Stockton, and then moved on to attend graduate school in Philadelphia. I received my Master of Social Work Degree with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice in May of 2020.
