Advanced Behavioral Health Services wants to see every child flourish by managing their specific mental health or behavioral health concern through relevant approaches and strategies providing evidenced based interventions, psychoeducation, parent skills training, and social skills development. My ideal client is seeking therapy because they are feeling sad. It almost feels like depression. The client is not sure how to stop feeling this way. They also don't know why they are feeling this way. They want to learn what is making them feel sad. The client would like to learn strategies to help identify triggers and learn coping skills to decrease the depression.

Common feelings like "I don’t feel heard” or “I can’t seem to do anything right” are expressed by the couples I work with. Individual clients feel overwhelmed and stressed, “My life is changing dramatically and I’m not sure what to do next.”

My ideal clients are people who have been unable to find someone they can pull back the veil covering their heart because of past betrayals, lack of trust, cultural roadblocks, or some other barrier that keeps the true source of their burden hidden. As a newly licensed associate counselor and lay Christian counselor, I have honed my expertise in women's issues, trauma-informed care, emotional disturbance, and family conflict. I am passionate about educating and instilling a deep understanding of mental health disorders, trauma, and the importance of nurturing a healthy relationship with oneself.

Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor with a Master's in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counseling. Amber is also an adjunct professor at local colleges teaching counseling and psychology.
