I provide neuropsychological evaluations for the purpose of: Identifying issues that impact learning (such as, problems with attention, reading, writing and mathematics), Identifying an intellectual disability or intellectual giftedness, Diagnosing neurodevelopmental disorders (such as Autism Spectrum Disorder), and diagnosing neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias.

My ideal client could range in any issues. What is more important to me is they are ready and willing to do the work in navigating their challenges and is ready to better themselves. My ideal client is ready to talk and explore different angles of their struggles and is willing to express what is working and what doesn't work for them so we can find tuned treatment and continue to show progress.

Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience working with children, adolescents, individuals, couples and families on a variety of issues: anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositional defiance and conduct disorders, trauma, grief and loss, different forms of abuse, and adjustment disorders. Lisa also is knowledgeable in the fields of learning disorders and special education, autism, adoption and foster care, separation/ divorce/blended families, chronic health issues, and chronic pain. She has advanced certification in Adoption Studies. Lisa is licensed in New Jersey, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

A 12 year-old patient recently commented that our work together is like "a cocoon" & that at the end of the sessions, she leaves "stronger, lighter, & free." This profound insight is so meaningful to me since this is precisely how I conceptualize how psychotherapy works. Counseling can only be done in a trusting, gentle, & protective manner. Within this safe vessel, it creates in the person a sense of trust that will enable them to tolerate frustration, persevere, have confidence, and subsequently develop loving attachments in their adult life. This in turn, positively impacts health, optimism, hope, and life satisfaction.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in the field. I have worked in hospital settings such as inpatient psych, outpatient mental health, juvenile drug programs and in the public school system on a child study team. My areas of expertise include working with children, adolescents, and adults, ages 7 and up, and their families on a variety of issues. Some of these issues include but are not limited to anxiety, ADHD, depression, mood disorders, learning disabilities, behavioral issues, school issues, family conflicts and relationship issues, as well as many other life stressors that can affect us.
