Despite having reached the pinnacle of my profession after nearly two decades of practice, it was my own struggle with learning disabilities, dual diagnosis and other medical conditions and issues, that changed my perspective and my life. I came to appreciate an approach which focuses on the here and now; solution focused and goal oriented. I found little solace in traditional therapeutic approaches which focused largely on the past, and went on for months with no real relief nor positive impact on my life or functioning. As such, I strive to help my clients achieve their goals and actualize their dreams using a coaching approach.

I work with clients who see that their Christian beliefs are a big part of who they are, and are looking for someone who understands and respects that. I work with all individuals, couples, and preteen-adult boys. I specialize in those who are struggling with emotional and relational issues, as well as, ADHD, sex addiction, depression, anxiety, OCD, grief/loss, abandonment, anger fear, divorce, and weight loss. I also work with parenting skills, and child behavior problems.

I've worked in a variety of settings, administering numerous types of evaluations, from workers comp, to neuropsychological, parental fitness to custody evaluations. Things happen to us throughout our lifetime that make us feel stuck, worthless, guilty, shamed, and like we are never enough. These ideas about ourselves dictate the way we learn, how we do in school and work, and how we love and connect to others. When someone has experienced trauma, these thoughts and feelings can be even more extreme which can cause significant distress. Growth and Empowerment is accepting new clients!
