Depending on your needs, we may utilize several different modalities of treatment.

Based on a client's therapeutic goals and needs, my aim is to help them gain a greater understanding of themselves and their values, identify problems and attitudes and behaviors which may contribute to those problems, explore alternative courses of action, develop coping skills, find their strengths, and feel better. I assist clients in developing self-awareness, balance, and acceptance using a holistic approach while encouraging change and an understanding of themselves and their environment and culture.

Chantal received her bachelor's degree from St. Bonaventure University where she majored in psychology and minored in sociology. She started her clinical experience in graduate school as an Intern providing group therapy to patients in the PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, NJ. Upon graduating from Alliance University in Manhattan, NY in May 2013, she began working in the Children's TLC Partial Hospitalization Program. Chantal then transferred to St. Michael's Medical Center in Newark, NJ where she was the Rehabilitation Therapist on the adult inpatient psychiatric unit.

I focus on cognitive restructuring to challenge individuals and their thoughts about themselves and others so they can work towards reframing their faulty cognitions, thinking more positively and realistically, and reducing dysfunctional behaviors. In addition, the problem-solving technique helps clients address problems and unhealthy behaviors within the session and then eventually find healthy solutions. In sessions, modeling and role-playing will also be taught and practiced to encourage effective communication skills.

Ashanta Yama Carter Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) and Addiction professional who is trained to provide psychological and emotional support for individuals experiencing mental health and substance abuse challenges. She has years of experience and a passion for de-stigmatizing mental health issues and addiction to help individuals with behavioral health difficulties. She sees recovery as redemptive process that leads to restoration.

Zahara Wadud Pinkett is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey who has been practicing since 2019. She has an MSW from Rutgers University School of Social Work. Zahara's areas of competency include Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Couple's issues, Depression, Grief, Women's Issues, Later Life Transitions, Midlife Transitions, PostPartum Depression/Anxiety, and Reproductive challenges.

I provide a safe place with an empathetic listening ear to empower people to make the necessary changes to find inner peace and improve their relationships and quality of life. I encourage people to use self-care and relaxation techniques, healthy boundaries, and practical changes to improve their relationship with themselves and others. With this comes improved emotional and psychological well-being while recovering from trauma, and stress, and working through life transitions and family conflict.

Welcome to Inner Journey Wellness, I'm Sara and I specialize in working with adults who may be experiencing symptoms of stress, lack of motivation, guilt, low self-esteem, negative thought patterns/perfectionistic thinking, inattention and increased anger. These struggles do not need to define us, but can often feel overwhelming and freezing, stopping you from doing things and being the person you want. I am here to help navigate these. Positive change is possible by focusing on understanding these challenges while providing effective strategies and skills using an integrative approach.

Everyone wants a therapist who listens, is relatable, real & committed to their healing process. Sarah Aladhamy is a Licensed Associate Counselor in New Jersey who has been practicing since 2022. She received a Bachelor's degree from CUNY College of Staten Island in Psychology. She then received her Master's degree from Monmouth University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Sarah's approach is being open, honest, empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental. Developing rapport and building therapeutic alliances is very important in the therapeutic relationship. Additionally, authenticity is essential when working with clients of any age range. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys exercising, martial arts, yoga, and playing video games.

I am committed to guiding and supporting clients on their life journey to finding love, joy peace and self acceptance by providing them with tools for a spiritually, emotionally and psychologically and personally well balanced existence.

My goal is to always hold a warm and comfortable space, free of judgment, for you to release the thoughts and emotions you have been avoiding and holding inside. I specialize in working with millennial women struggling with anxiety, OCD, and grief. Most of my clients are experiencing people-pleasing tendencies, obsessive thinking, self-doubt, and intrusive thoughts that can feel distressing and shameful.
