Summit Psychotherapy and Wellness Center LLC houses a unique combination of specialists supporting a holistic level of care through group and individual counseling sessions. We are comprised of two Licensed Doctoral Level professionals, a Registered Nurse, and a behaviorist. We look beyond the medical model and focus on positive psychological factors and strength based perspectives to assist in managing outcomes related to emotional, transitional, and cognitive developments. Our CEO, Dr. Shaun DeMauro Psy.D, will screen participants and will consult with our multidisciplinary team to ensure care is within our scope of practice.

Laura Troy, LPC, is dedicated to serving clients throughout New Jersey, helping you navigate life's challenges with a compassionate and flexible approach, she offers both in-person and online counseling services to meet you wherever you are. Her goal is to create a nonjudgmental, safe, and caring environment where you feel supported and understood as you embark on your journey towards self-discovery, growth, and healing.

Lia Friedman is a Licensed Associate Counselor in New Jersey who has been practicing since 2021. Lia believes that we do not see things as they are, we see them as we are; that although you cannot completely avoid pain in life, you do not need to suffer as a consequence. In other words, our life experiences, including those that have been traumatic, shape how we see and interact with the world. Sometimes we get stuck in the injustice of our experience, but that does not help us heal or move forward. Lia offers a balanced combination of compassion, empathy and challenging with care when needed.

Christine is a Licensed Associate Counselor, who has been practicing since 2013. She graduated from Seton Hall University with a Master's degree in Professional Counseling. Christine believes in a person-centered approach to therapy, an empathetic approach that empowers and motivates individuals to reach their potential. Christine also strongly believes in a mindfulness-based approach, encouraging clients to experience themselves and their feelings in the present. She often utilizes mindfulness-based CBT to address anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.

Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in NJ with a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University. She is also a Certified Case Manager with 10 years experience in the medical field, which has exposed her to a very diverse range of clients, diagnoses, and social situations. Lisa is here to provide her clients with a safe, judgment-free space to explore and address any challenges they may be facing, or simply improve their lives and relationships proactively.

Hello and welcome! I received my Master of Arts in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from William Paterson University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of New Jersey and have trauma certifications. My experience includes both individual and group treatment. It takes courage to seek a happier, more fulfilling life and to take the first steps towards change. I am eager to assist you as you become more empowered and self aware, live more open and less afraid, become a better communicator, to identify and utilize effective coping skills, improve your self-esteem, set boundaries, and improve relationships.

Dr. Josh Goldstein is a Psychologist in New Jersey and New York who has been practicing since 2018. He received an Honors BA in Psychology from Lander College for Men, a division of Touro College. After his BA, he received a PsyD in Clinical and School Psychology from Kean University. As part of the program, he received his Master’s in School Psychology. Dr. Goldstein offers an empathetic ear to clients and the ability to assist them in their daily struggles. Additionally, Dr. Goldstein is able to connect with children due to his enjoyment in watching children’s television with his children.

As a counselor, it is my job to see and understand people as individuals. To help people find the strength within that can so easily become forgotten. There are various schools of thought that I pull from such as REBT, CBT, and DBT depending on the needs of the individual. My approach is humanistic in nature, which means that the sessions are client driven. I believe the journey to wholeness starts with taking time for self-discovery. I enjoy empowering individuals to find and work through their barriers to success. This approach is used when working with adults and adolescents.

Karin Williams, LCSW, is a dedicated therapist at LifeStance Health, offering empathetic, client-centered care to individuals across New Jersey. She creates a safe and nonjudgmental environment, fostering therapeutic relationships that rekindle hope and help clients recognize their own strengths. Serving adults, seniors, and young adults aged 18 and up, Karin is committed to guiding her clients through their unique mental health journeys. Karin is particularly passionate about treating Adult ADHD, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.

Tamsen Adams-Gallagher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey who has been practicing since 2001. She has a Master's Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. Tamsen believes in meeting the client where they are, aligning with them and supporting their goals in treatment through a strengths-based perspective. She utilizes creative techniques to help clients engage in meaningful work.

Throughout my academic and professional career, I have interned and worked in various healthcare settings. These experiences have granted me opportunities to learn from clients of diverse backgrounds, various ages, and complex life circumstances: from children in schools, to members of a nursing home and assisted living facility, to adults with psychiatric disabilities in a partial care facility with job training.
