I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Morris County, NJ. I have over 10 years experience working with children, adolescents and adults on a variety of issues including but not limited to mood disorders, oppositional behaviors, depression and anxiety, as well as life's challenges. I understand and appreciate the difficulty with accepting the idea of therapy, the work in finding a therapist and even the anxiety that often accompanies building trust in a complete stranger. I also specialize in working with diagnoses of oppositional defiant and conduct disorders.

I have over 30 years experience working with children and their families. I use creative techniques to address anxiety, impulsive behaviors, anger and depression. For children the most effective therapy is Play Therapy and for Adolescents, Cognitive Behavioral and creative techniques. I have extensive expereince working within these modalties

Most recently my professional goals have focused on my bipolar research which lead to the completion of my PhD in clinical psychology and the development of specialized treatment for mood disorders as well as obtaining the highest level of trauma training available: certification in EMDR trauma treatment.

I graduated from NYU in 1981 and have had a clinical practice in Social Work since 1986. My treatment approach is eclectic. However, I am a certified EMDR therapist, and that, along with, Supportive Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral techniques inform the manner in which I work with my clients. In my years of practice in the field, I have developed an honest respect for the therapy process and a confidence in the resiliency of the people that I have had the opportunity to work with.
