It has been my professional privilege over the last 25 years to provide counseling to married couples, families and individuals who were struggling with various relationship challenges, personal crisis and family conflicts. I have also had to opportunity to provide extensive one on one personal counseling to many individuals who were struggling with depression, general anxiety, grief, anger issues, abusive relationships, sexual assault, and personal trauma. Many of these clients were wonderfully helped, healed, given new hope and were taught new relationship survival and coping skills that they are now able to use to enhance their relationships and personal lives.

A good therapist should be able to create a feeling of safety, which allows one to fully address issues and work towards their goals. Feelings of powerlessness and vulnerability understandably lead to distress, impacting relationships you have with your partner, children, friends or coworkers. They might have some trouble communicating or they might feel stuck in their relationships. In addition, social media ( Internet, Facebook, advanced cell phones, Twitter, etc) has created additional challenges for the parents in trying to raise their children. I am an experienced licensed professional counselor who places an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and the individual strengths of each client. I am a LPC and LCADC currently offering telehealth counseling throughout the State of NJ. I utilize a person-centered, mindful approach to collaborate with clients to create an individualized treatment plan specifying your goals and objectives. I use evidence-based therapies and techniques including EMDR designed to help clients process trauma, negative beliefs, guilt and shame as well as learning more about the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to improve interpersonal communication skills, self-regulation, anger management, stress management, and substance abuse.

Most of my clients are people who have lost sight of how awesome they actually are whether that be due to some sort of trauma, a bad or unfulfilling relationship, a chronic illness, or a mental health disorder.
