The therapeutic relationship is a very special one. I possess a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University and have extensive clinical background in private practice, schools, in-patient and out-patient settings. However, it is my love of the work and the respect I hold for my clients that make the relationships a success. With all of the pain life's journey can bring, I try and provide a safe and warm environment for us to make progress. I have studied abroad as well in Ghana, West Africa and Costa Rica to gain more cultural perspectives.

I have recently added Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) as services now available in my office. I am not a traditional talk therapist, rather I do experiential psychotherapy. I trained 6 years beyond my doctorate in somatic psychotherapy, so that I include the body's experience throughout the session. In addition, I'm a Kripalu-certified yoga teacher. Through movement, breath, and mindfulness, I help you know and experience your feeling- states in your body. This allows you to expand your awareness so that you have choices (rather than being run by the programming of mind!)

We all face struggles in life. Maybe relationships or sexual behavior seem "crazy” or consuming. Or, maybe you struggle with extreme eating habits, spending or another kind of compulsive behavior. Maybe your job exposes you to daily risk and tragedy and you're feeling the weight of it. You may struggle to manage emotions, anxiety, loneliness, grief. All my clients deal with these kinds of things. It’s no coincidence they've also usually dealt with abuse, family dysfunction or trauma. Many have PTSD, CPTSD or dissociative disorder.
