I’ve always had a passion for helping others to develop and live their best lives. For the past decade, it has been my honor to offer a judgment-free zone for my clients to explore the things that are bothering them. I approach my work from a person-centered mindset, where you are the expert on you, and my job is to support you in identifying problems and creating solutions.

Seeking out therapy can be a life changing event. It is important to find someone who understands your challenges, supports your needs, and will always provide a non-judgmental and safe environment for all forms of self-expression. Together we will take a journey, exploring the things in your life that impact your quality of living. As a team, we will set goals and make meaningful changes that will make a lasting impact on your life. I have had many wonderful experiences working with people of all ages, treating those who have dealt with symptoms of everyday life stress and mental health issues.

Becoming a counselor was the last thing I thought I would ever do. Growing up broken I never thought God would use me to help bring restoration to others. After years of healing and also seeing so many injustices in the world God spoke to me about the brake down of families. Family can bring much joy but also pain, such as divorce, abuse, neglect, entanglement and more. Gods hope is to restore the Christian home. Often, we want a redo with where we came from but God wants to start the process of healing with you in order to not continue the generational sin, and pain. This is why I became a counselor. There are times God wont take

We can all agree close loving relationships are complicated. Do any of these concerns sound familiar to you? "We are considering living together and getting married, but we have a lot of apprehensions." "We are at our wit's end. We fight constantly. There is never any resolution." "Sometimes I feel like I married my mother or father." "I get flashbacks of the affair. I am triggered by everything." "We feel like roommates, like ships passing in the night." "We are tired of trying to please each other and failing." "I want to feel like I matter to my partner. I am always last behind work, extended family, and friends."

Welcome! My name is Dr. Alison Hoyt. I often say, most people do not go skipping with joy to talk about some of the hardest things they carry in life. I respect and value how hard change can be, and even talking about change with a stranger that you do not yet really know! It is my goal and joy to create a safe and supportive place to work through goals in therapy. I view therapy as a toolbox -one in which we will work together to learn tools to help you achieve the goals you set in therapy. Part of therapy will be learning how everyone’s mind is unique to them and understanding how your mind can be a very valuable tool.

She views therapy as a time to be curious about one’s self and to build awareness and impact day-to-day functioning. By uncovering the patterns, individuals and families apply new and transferable skills learned in therapy to meet their goals.

Not accepting new clients
The day begins being startled by the alarm clock. Then we move through the morning routine trying to get out the door to make it to the next destination on time. In between, we are multitasking and rushing to get through the checklist. Minutes go by, like every other morning, with the stomach feeling like it's in knots because of the tasks that need to be accomplished before walking out the door. Everyone is hearing "it's almost time to leave", as it echoes through the house for the thousandth time. You make it in the car and check that everyone has everything. Maybe this is when you have a moment to take a breath…maybe not.
