Janine Elliott takes a collaborative approach to building relationships with clients that empower them to thrive in their relationships, school/workplace, and community. She uses evidence-based treatments including CBT, DBT, ERP and HRT to help reframe unhelpful behaviors and thoughts, increase emotional regulation, and improve resiliency. Janine received her MSW from Rutgers with a focus in family systems and attachment theory. She has also trained extensively with pioneers in the field at the Beck Institute, UPenn Department of Psychiatry, Center for Treatment and Study of Anxiety, and Minuchin Center for the Family.

Caitlin is a seasoned therapist with over a decade of experience who is dedicated to help guide you on your journey to healing and personal growth. She specializes in helping children, adults, and families to not only address issues like anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, behavioral problems (child/teen), and autism, but to find their overall path towards happiness and well-being. Her expertise further extends to complex trauma and loss with a deep understanding of attachment-related issues. Her understanding of Child and Family Studies makes her exceptionally well-prepared to address issues at the individual and environmental levels.

I have worked with individuals, couples and groups for the past 30+ years. My interest is in being a catalyst for change - helping people find and lead more fulfilling lives - has not wavered but rather, increased. It has, and continues to be an exciting privelege for me to be invited into my clients' lives with the common goal of facilitating new personal insights and enhancing relationships both at "home" and in clients' broader social communities.

I am comfortable assisting with individuals or couples, youth or adult, parenting, family struggles, anxiety/depression, gender identity/fluidity, polyamory/ethical non-monogamy, and/or navigating any medical or social/emotional journeys related to intersex conditions.

I have over a decade's worth of experience assisting diverse populations of children, adolescents, teens in crisis, adults, couples, families and individuals with advanced illnesses in managing and overcoming a wide array of issues including: emotional, physical and sexual abuse; trauma; adjustment difficulties; emotional, behavioral and relational disturbances; substance abuse; and gender/sexuality issues. Through my experience and training I have gained a strong understanding of diverse identities, including gender and sexual identities, as well as sexual and relational issues. Therefore, I am able to provide gender therapy for transgender and gender-expansive individuals from a non-pathological perspective.

I believe that each individual is capable of growth and change. Most of the time clients accomplish this by using the strengths they already have. When facing depression, anxiety, life changes and stress it can be very difficult to see a solution on your own. It may be especially difficult for men or young people to enter therapy for the first time. I understand this and work with you to make the process as comfortable as possible. Together we can be partners on your journey to emotional wellness.

Life's changes often create challenges that may be traumatic for some that can generate overwhelming feelings of anxiety and depression that can cloud our ability to perform our best and create achievable goals. These overwhelming emotions can also create maladaptive behaviors that can impact one's safety and overall well being. Learning how to understand and manage these emotions is key. I am able to offer children and families creative/fun ways to do this in a non-threatening manner that allows them to feel comfortable enough to let their guard down and trust the process.

I have particular experience serving women, youth who are trans/gay/nonbinary, families formed by adoption, and individuals with intersex differences.

My ideal client is someone diagnosed with both mental health and substance abuse issues. In our sessions, we delve into whether the substance abuse pattern is related to their mental health symptoms or if the psychiatric condition contributes to increased substance abuse. Over my 20+ years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse field, I've found it rewarding to help clients explore and implement evidence-based clinical interventions while offering support during their early recovery journey.
