Many of my clients come in to address anxiety, depression and life transitions. I am particularly passionate about helping women in different phases of their lives (adolescence, womanhood, motherhood, menopause). I also have experience in the treatment of Anxiety, Depression and Adjustment Disorders. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy and mindfulness. I use the therapeutic relationship to look at how patterns of interaction have developed and can be used to strengthen connections outside of our sessions.

Therapy can help you to have more clarity and to make positive & lasting changes in your life. The 1st step is a free phone consultation. The next step would be to schedule an intake appointment for you to meet me in person. At the end of this appointment I will give you feedback regarding my treatment recommendations. My approach is collaborative, non-judgemental, holistic, and empathic. I view each person as unique with both strengths & challenges.

I have 25+ years of experience working with a range of human experiences, such as: family conflict/divorce, addictions, anxiety, depression, anger management, and trauma.
Therapy sort of sucks. Who wants to call a stranger and talk about why you're suffering? I promise we won't sit in awkward silence the first time we meet! I will do my best to make therapy as painless as possible. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for couples and individuals in partnership with the organization Journey Clinical. KAP may be appropriate for treatment resistant depression, trauma, addictions, OCD and anxiety. I provide integration sessions for all psychedelic experiences. My mission is to assist you in restoring happiness and clarity to your life; my style is warm, practical and engaging.

If you're reading profiles on Psychology Today, I can make an educated guess that you may be feeling either overwhelmed—experiencing high levels of anxiety, anger, or stress—or perhaps under-motivated, struggling with feelings of numbness, sadness, or low self-esteem. In some cases, it may be a combination of both. I understand the underlying reasons behind these feelings and am here to listen, collaborate on your treatment goals, and support your journey toward becoming the best version of yourself.

The majority of my clients are adults who are seeking ways to manage depression and anxiety, which may be acute (short-term) or chronic (long-term). The most common issues are associated with relationships, family dynamics, adjustment to new situations, bereavement and end-of-life care. I also work with those caring for loved ones with dementia and other long-term illnesses.

Experienced Clinician Supporting Those Struggling with Grief and Trauma: Grief, loss and feeling lost is something everyone experiences. The pain of loss shows us our love for those we miss. Yet we may struggle with emotions we don’t understand, blame, guilt, anger among many others, but you're not alone. You may be looking to reimagine the relationship with your person, understand the “why”, or overcome guilt of moving forward and feel joy again. Your grief is your own and no one can tell you how to grieve, but finding support to cope, heal and grow in your journey can help integrate your loss story into your life story.

I listen closely and on multiple levels to the people with whom I work. I want to hear how you think, how you experience the world, and how you feel. I'm fascinated by how psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis, can be thought of as processes of democratic empowerment and how we can create together movement towards freeing your desire and intuition to serve as guides for you. Whatever array of symptoms ( anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, trauma) that you struggle with, we will seek to unlock the hold they have on you so that you may gain greater personal freedom, creativity, and clarity around your sense of purpose and destiny.
