I, Ron Silikovitz, Ph.D., am a licensed clinical psychologist. I have offices in West Orange and Elizabeth, New Jersey. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, I have witnessed a lot that has helped me as a psychologist. I am experienced with working with children who have trauma and/or behavioral issues and adults who have mental health issues ranging from minimal stress to schizophrenia. I have worked with families that are dealing with infertility, infidelity, and separation. I am also a certified school psychologist. Hence, I understand academic difficulties and its impact on both the child and parent.

I specialize in psychological testing for adults, adolescents, and school age children. Assessments are given for: ADHD, ADD, and learning discrepancies. Testing instruments include: WAIS IV, WISC V, WASI II, and other clinical and psycho-educational instruments used for forensic purposes..

Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Feel Better Therapy began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

I hold a BA from Rutgers University in psychology and women’s studies (2000); an MA in clinical and counseling psychology from Columbia University (2002); and a Doctor of Psychology degree from the American School of Professional Psychology—Washington, DC Campus (2008). I trained in counseling at Montclair State University and neuropsychology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. I completed my doctoral internship at McGill University Health Centre- Montreal General Hospital site.
