I use a judgment free and trauma-informed approach with a specific focus on LGBTQ+ issues.
While every journey through this life is unique, know that you are not alone on the path to seeking wellness. You are the expert on your own life, but that doesn’t mean you have to navigate it alone. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness; it is a sign of strength and the first step on a journey toward self-acceptance and personal growth.

If you are looking to unlearn self-defeating behaviors, tackle negative thoughts, re-learn your purpose, feel heard, work on relationships, and possibly understand your children, let us meet, I am a LGBTQI-A supporting clinician who has worked with individuals that have anxiety, depression, trauma, been involved with DCP&P and just need someone to listen.
Hello, I am a bilingual and bicultural therapist whose goal is to support my patients/clients to feel heard and validated. I want my patients to progress and understand that their diagnosis does not define nor control them. I am willing to walk this journey with my patients and push them when they need the push, and support them when they feel “alone”. I graduated in May of 2020, with my Master of Science in Marriage, Family, and Couples, I have been working with patients on a therapeutic level for about 2 years. However, I have worked in case management roles and child protection collectively for over 20 years.

As a certified Brainspotting therapist, I combine talk therapy, internal parts work, attachment & relationship help, and brain-based trauma treatment.
You: a successful, competent, got-it-together professional who is killing at work...but killing yourself in the process. Me: a therapist who can help you heal the underlying stuff that has you stuck in the perfectionism, people-pleasing, and harsh self-judgment and often leads to burnout, as well as more visible mental health issues like depression, anxiety, addiction, and relationship difficulties at home and work. Without treating the underlying (usually childhood trauma) issues, people often struggle for years without making the kind of progress in therapy that they're working so hard to make.

The most important step towards healing is acknowledging and addressing the unresolved emotions inside you. Unprocessed adverse childhood experiences, traumatic events, and family issues can stay with us throughout our lives. Often, our earlier experiences lead us to function in ways that leave us unhappy, stuck, or unfulfilled in our relationships with others and in life in general. Moving toward accepting what has occurred in the past can slowly dissolve the pain and trauma. I am privileged and honored to respectfully and compassionately hold space for you and your story. I offer both In-Person and Telehealth Services.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
