My ideal clients are moms struggling with anxiety and looking for support through their transition to motherhood. These women are looking for encouragement and need support as they learn to trust their own intuition.

Welcome to First Children! We are a multi-site psychological, counseling, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) center serving children, adolescents, and young adults with autism and their families. At our STRIVE centers, we provide comprehensive autism services to our clients, including early screening and diagnostic testing (using the ADOS-2), ABA, behavioral parent training, and individual and group counseling. Our services also include sibling support groups, family counseling, social skills groups, and school consultation.

My ideal client would be an individual with anxiety who deals with overthinking and people-pleasing behaviors. They realize the negative impact that this has had on their mental health and relationships with others. Their ability to prioritize themselves has diminished and cannot feel good about themselves without validation and affirmations from others. They are coming into therapy to try and get that power back that has been overtaken by the hyper-fixation of what others might think and feel about them

I enjoy working with people who want to improve their life experience, grow as individuals and in relationships, and define and improve their well-being in a collaborative, holistic therapeutic experience. Young adults often speak to me about understanding and resolving their issues, breaking dysfunctional patterns, and developing a healthy sense of self. Overwhelmed parents often come to improve their family relationships and functioning. Adults with a variety of life experiences engage with me to work on issues to gain the insight and empowerment needed to meet their goals, no matter how big or small.

I have a few types of clients that I would like to work with. A youth client who is experiencing ADHD. A few goals may be to improve organization skills, grades, and on-task behavior. These goals may be important to the youth because they may need support with developing a daily schedule and organization skills to assist with focus. Another ideal client may be an adult who is looking to improve self-esteem to accomplish life goals. The adult may need support dealing with past traumas. This may be important to them because they want to improve for themselves.

As a clinical social worker and psychotherapist, my goal is to provide a safe environment and build relationships with my clients based on mutual trust and respect. I have a non-judgmental and affirming approach. I work with individuals, couples and other relationship constellations. I specialize in mood disorder, personality disorder, HIV, LGBT, life transitions, sexuality and cultural acculturation/assimilation. I relocated to San Diego, CA, in 2023. I am also licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Delaware. I also provide services in Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
