I have been practicing in the field for ten years. I have a person centered approach to therapy, mixed with cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and Gestalt therapy when it is called for. I do mental health counseling, addiction counseling, couples counseling, individual counseling, and marriage and family counseling. I see clients of all ages from children to senior citizens. As we have to continue to change and adapt to a new way of counseling, I am including tele therapy in my practice.

Our YOUTH today need positive adult mentors! With a passion to serve children and adolescents, I help clients move from reaction to conscious response, anger to compassion and anxiety to peace. Specializing in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, I have taught and mentored students in Public and International Schools for over 25 years. I hold a Masters in Teaching, BA in Psychology, NJ Teachers License and a Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher Certification. Currently, I serve in schools implementing my Mindfulness Curriculum and am a Youth Mindset Mentor. My mission is to self empower our youth with tools to self regulate and self heal.

Most of our clients' issues and needs include Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress, Anger Management, Domestic Violence, and ADHD. Their needs include identifying positive and healthy ways to cope appropriately with emotions, identify ways to verbally express themselves appropriately, and identify healthy coping skills. Some goals would include processing their trauma, identfying positive peer networks, processing sadness and anger as well.

I am now providing services through Talkiatry.com. Contact a Patient Care Coordinator there and they will assist you with an initial evaluation with a psychiatrist and then you can request a referral to me for counseling. My desire is to engage individuals, couples and families in counseling to assist with navigating the many challenges faced in daily life. I draw my clinical perspective from many sources including clinical skills grounded in CBT. I believe that trust, respect and integrity are the foundation of an effective clinical relationship.
