I work well with people who need their issues dealt with in a kind and caring manner. My goal is to learn how you see your world; not how I or anybody else would choose to see it. I am a Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who is passionate and hard working. I like to offer clients a trusting and relaxed environment to better themselves. I have been working in the mental health field for over ten years. I have experience helping clients with a variety of issues; depression, anxiety, divorce, loss, sexual identity, trauma, addiction, etc. I have worked predominately with adults and teens. I use clinically approved approaches tailored to the needs of my clients such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person Centered therapy.

My strengths-based approach combines cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques and holistic ways to treat your entire being including mind, body, and spirit. My approach also embraces a positive view of queer identities and relationships while addressing the negative influences that homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism have on the lives of the LGBTQ community. I personally understand there can be complicated feelings towards your own sexuality/gender identity along with the struggles of being a queer person of color, and can help you navigate these adversities.

Good day to you! My educational background is in Clinical Psychology and Counseling Psychology with a Post Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis. I began my career in providing behavioral and mental healthcare services in 2004. Since that time, I have devoted myself to helping youth, adolescents, and adults address neurodiverse needs. In June of 2016, I founded Beautiful Minds to meet the mental and behavioral health needs of youth, families, and adults living in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

My mission statement is focused on assisting others to find their autonomy, self-actualization, and sense of empowerment in the midst of every day challenges.

I am a hard-working, passionate, and empathic person who is dedicated to her clients. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families; however, I see individuals of all ages with a variety of presenting issues (e.g., stress, anxiety, depression, postpartum mood disorders, such as postpartum depression, grief / loss, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders). It is important for my clients to be aware that in addition to obtaining my LPC, I have finished extensive training in the field of psychology as I completed an APA accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Coming from a diverse and experienced background, my qualifications and training in various disciplines have helped me to expand on an innate ability to cater to a client’s individual needs and potential. I do not believe “one size fits all” which means that each client is given services unique to them and the intricacies of their life, their experiences. This approach is coupled with an individual professional style and conscientious quality of service. I run a “gold standard” practice with a personal belief of “people before profits”. Quite simply, I care about people and help people to care about themselves.

I feel passionately about helping people restore their relationships with food and their bodies. I specialize in eating disorders, substance abuse and grief. I am a licensed professional counselor in both PA and NJ. I have a history of working in residential treatment centers for persons with eating disorders and currently work in an outpatient, virtual setting. I pride myself on being warm, empathetic and also direct in my approach. I am also trauma informed.
