As a therapist, I am committed to helping clients be their best selves, and providing a safe, non-judgmental, and affirming space. My therapeutic model focuses on family systems work, helping clients to gain an understanding of how one’s family of origin and life experiences shape their beliefs, thought patterns and behaviors. I help my clients to unpack beliefs and behaviors that are feeling hurtful and unproductive, helping to gain new perspective and coping skills.
Making a decision to seek out therapy is an incredibly brave and courageous step towards self-care and healing, and I am here to support that step. I work with clients to process traumatic life experiences and explore ways to lighten the difficult burden that such experiences bring. I encourage positive beginnings and finding new joy in life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with 25 years of working with individuals who have experienced traumatic life events, including intimate partner violence, child abuse and neglect, and sexual assault. I provide therapy services to individuals ages 18 and up. I am fluent in Gujarati and Hindi, and work with clients of all backgrounds.
