My primary goal as a therapist is to provide my clients with the tools to live productive lives. We all have a story to tell and a journey to take. The vital component of everyone’s journey is the paths they take and identifying their catalyst to achieve change. The driving force in my career path is the desire to reach members of society that have a misconception regarding counseling and increase their knowledge of the therapeutic process. Also, providing individuals with a voice and the courage to use it. Letting your voice be a positive reflection of who you are can trigger change.
My approach is person-centered and my specialty is grief, loss, and trauma. My counseling experience working with veterans, the homeless, victims of domestic violence, severely mentally ill, and HIV positive clients prepared me to assist clients in reaching their full potential. I believe in meeting my clients where they are to create change.
