Is your child or teen struggling with anxiety, anger management, or emotional regulation at home or at school? As a fellow parent, I know it can be hard to help them through their big emotions. I would love to help support you and your child. I have over 10 years of experience supporting children (ages 4 and up) and their parents through creative play therapy techniques and cognitive behavioral strategies. Play is a powerful communication tool for children, and can help them communicate their needs and feelings to others.
I work to create a safe, welcoming space for children through child centered therapy to help them learn strategies to manage their feelings in healthy ways. Through counseling, we will work to build assertive communication skills, behavior strategies, and strengthen attachments with their caregiver.
I also have experience with adults in managing anxiety and mood concerns. I use an eclectic therapeutic approach including cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, mindfulness, assertiveness training, and motivational interviewing techniques. I look forward to helping you build your individualized goals toward improved emotional health.
