My approach to therapy is based around the belief that people do not fit easily into boxes. It is my job to be adaptable. No matter what difficulties you are facing in life you know yourself best and my role is to support you getting to that end state you desire. I have worked with clients of all ages and many backgrounds. I will work with you to develop a plan of action and support you on your journey to get to that place where you can find genuine peace.
I come from a client centered approach that pulls from various evidence-based practices such as CBT, mindfulness, DBT. Often it can be helpful to talk out loud and then break down the thoughts, feelings, actions and identify what is no longer working for you and develop courses of action to create meaningful change.
Whether you know exactly what you want and have an idea of how to get there or have never talked to a therapist and are feeling lost, confused, overwhelmed I will take the time to create a plan that is tailored to you specifically and support you throughout that journey.
