Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren’t always comfortable, but they're never weakness. —Brené Brown Hello! The first step you are taking in your mental health journey is a big step for change. It takes a lot of strength and courage to start therapy so know that is a powerful place to be. Many times people often ask, "what is therapy?" I am here to tell you what it looks like with me. I believe that therapy is about collaboration, working together to meet your needs, and your goals by strengthening your resources to get there.
I believe creating a safe environment, where you feel comfortable sharing difficult topics is important. My therapeutic stance incorporates evidence-based practices and a holistic approach by providing individualized treatment to meet each client's unique needs. I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral, Person-Centered, and Strength-Based Therapy.
My counseling experience has been mostly with adults, children, and teens working through anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life adjustments, and trauma. I am passionate about serving clients and providing them the care they need to have the quality of life they deserve. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you in this new journey.
