My ideal client is someone who is motivated to make changes in their life. I have experience with treating a wide arrange of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and more. But I understand that diagnoses aren’t everything so I also work well with people who experience self-esteem challenges, trouble setting goals, social and interpersonal skills, as well as executive dysfunction.
My experience comes from working within DCF, an in-home therapy team, supervising foster care coordination, outpatient services for children, adolescents, families, within schools, and within hospitals. My foundation of knowledge is vast amongst these settings and helps with different evidence-based therapies as well as advocacy approaches.
While evidence-based models are proven to be effective, I am highly trained in developing rapport. My humanistic background means that the relationship each person has with me is the back bone of the therapeutic process. This also means that even when doing the uncomfortable work of improving yourself, I will make sure you are not alone and feel supported.
