I have lived and traveled in many countries throughout my life and initially wanted to “save the world” by focusing on ecology and chose to get my BA in Environmental Sciences. Through my own journey of therapy and recovery, I found that I felt more purpose and passion in supporting others in overcoming whatever obstacles were preventing them from living a full and meaningful life. I understand how important it is to keep an open mind and remain non-judgmental. In a society that – whether meaningfully or not – often generates a sense of shame, isolation, and helplessness on individuals, I want to do the exact opposite.
I have experience working with homeless families, individuals struggling with substance use and mental health disorders, as well as those who have experienced extensive trauma. I believe that for most people, positive connection is the key to offering freedom from pain, and creating a therapeutic alliance can be the first step in that direction.
Through modalities including Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I hope to collaboratively help you find the path that brings you the most joy. It requires courage and honesty to initiate therapy, and I would be honored to be a part of this journey. I am currently available for in-person sessions as well as virtual.
