I have over 25 years experience as a psychodynamic psychotherapist.
I work with individuals and couples with a range of presenting problems such as anxiety, depression, parenting and relationship issues. My style is to actively engage in a non-judgmental way, always sensitive to creating an environment of trust in our sessions. Therapy helps you look at yourself through a different lens so that you can understand the conflicts and distress that present in your life, and use that insight to change.

My integrative therapy approach blends psychodynamic, solution-focused, and person-centered methods.
Are you curious about your own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors? Do you feel as if you may harbor deep-seated emotional issues, have unresolved childhood conflicts, or engage in patterns of behavior that you struggle to understand and/or change? Are you simply feeling stuck? You may know what you would like to do differently, but can't seem to make sustainable changes, or maybe you don't even know where to begin. You are not alone. Allow me to show you how capable you are of leaving behind what no longer serves you and stepping into the highest version of yourself.

I can provide a safe space and holding environment by my empathic, warm, relational and eclectic approach in which I combine psychodynamic work, dialectical behavioral therapy, somatic work, motivational interviewing, and trauma.
Clients often engage in therapy when in crisis; however, in many cases, it is a trigger of deeper and raw feelings that were never processed and require therapeutic exploration. In our sessions, we will identify your triggers, thought processes, and behavioral patterns. We will explore repressed feelings, reparent your inner child and heal from old patterns. We will learn new and healthy coping skills to deal with these triggers and practice them all together. There is no magic wand, and I cannot “fix” you, but if you are willing to do the work, I will be so happy to guide, support, and validate your feelings.

Using a psychodynamic lens, we will explore the personal experiences and circumstances that shape your life, as well as the impact of social and structural context.
As we move through life, there are many different moments which can make us feel stuck, stifled, or unsure of ourselves and our paths. In these moments, a space in which we can feel heard, supported, and understood is essential. I believe therapy can enable us to explore the roots of these challenges, discover new ways to move forward, and find greater possibilities for ourselves and our relationships. My aim as a therapist is to support you in this process by creating an open, nonjudgmental space to navigate life’s challenges and the full range of emotions that accompany them.

When the time comes to make a change, it takes courage to ask for support. To be one who can respond to that request is a privilege. Starting in community mental health (access for all) and moving into my private practice, I have had experience working with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and grieving with adults, children, couples, and the LGBTQ community. I specialize in working with people who have a history of trauma, big and small, and varied relational issues. I integrate my psychodynamic and relational training with long- or short-term, problem focused psychotherapeutic work as well as EMDR treatment.

I have experience and training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, trauma-focused psychotherapies, EMDR and CBT.
When life becomes overwhelming, therapy becomes an opportunity to identify barriers to satisfaction, manage the difficulties you are experiencing, and to feel better. I understand that finding the right therapist takes time and making the first call is difficult. When you are ready to do so, I can help you decide how and when you'd like to begin. I offer a warm and supportive space in which you can safely express your worries and concerns. I have an encouraging and interactive style that allows you to explore your circumstances, while equipping you with coping skills to manage when feeling overwhelmed.

My clinical approach is psychodynamic but also incorporates cognitive-behavioral interventions, DBT, and strategies from motivational interviewing.
Everyone who comes through my office door has one thing in common: the wish to suffer less and enjoy life more. I can help you achieve your life goals and dreams. I see my job as listening to you carefully, patiently, and through the lens of my professional expertise, in order to identify the hidden obstacles to your greater wellbeing. Together, in an atmosphere of nonjudgmental, accepting, respectful communication, we will interrupt dysfunctional patterns and build on your strengths. The results of a successful treatment will be that you no longer feel "stuck"; instead, you will feel like life offers you more possibilities.

My doctoral training was primarily focused on Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
Psychotherapy is a deeply personal journey into getting to know yourself. The start of treatment is truly an important first step into understanding yourself and your past, finding ways to cope with your current struggles, and ultimately improving your overall quality of life. I specialize in helping people to manage emotional and anxiety-related difficulties, as these tend to strongly impact interpersonal relationships and general life-satisfaction. My goal is to meet you where you are while guiding you in getting to the root of these issues so that we can work collaboratively toward your treatment goals.
