My name is Missy Terrell and I’m a licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am a Christian therapist who works from a Gospel-centered perspective. I work on a broad range of issues, including anxiety, spirituality, depression, self-image, premarital and marriage, career, and finances, with a special emphasis on childhood trauma.

With over two decades of experience in faith-based psychotherapy, mental health counseling and inpatient rehabilitation, I am uniquely competent integrating clinical expertise and Christian spirituality in a holistic approach to thoughts, emotions and behaviors. I specialize in sexual addiction breakthrough, substance abuse recovery, OCD treatment (ERP and ACT), trauma processing (EMDR), anxiety relief, relational connection, anger management, identity formation and faith/work/life/sex integration. I see couples and adult clients, and have other counselors (with lower fees) at my practice who work with adolescents and children.

I have God, so why do I feel this way?? Just because you have your faith does not make you immune to life’s ups and downs. Anxiety and Depression are very real. It is not something you can just white-knuckle your way through. And no one expects you to. Maybe the issue is further complicated because you are struggling with an eating disorder or have a family history of depression.
