We have clinicians who specialize in trauma, anxiety, PTSD, depression, & working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Are you having panic attacks at work or when you’re out? Is your anxiety keeping you home? Are you worried about the next attack happening in public? Anxiety attacks can be scary and overwhelming. Feeling like it’s hard to breathe, tightening of chest, shaking, and sweating. The fear of them happening out of the blue and people noticing can be crippling. Are you struggling with past trauma? Especially after experiencing trauma, we find that anxiety and depression can start to take over our lives. The good news is, with helpful coping techniques, we can learn to manage our anxiety and find healing from our traumas.

Increasing your self-awareness through therapy in order to make conscious change in your life offers exciting and challenging opportunities to discover your whole self. By attending to what you feel, think and sense in the moment of the therapy session, you will begin to notice how the experiences we create together live outside of the session in your everyday life. The awareness you build in our sessions provides a stable ground from which you can make choices in life that will free you from the patterns of behavior that have limited you for so long.

Trauma is different for every person from sexual abuse to losing a loved one to being yelled at as a young child.
"Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it"- This is one of my favorite quotes from the movie Ferris Bueller's Day off because it is so true. Things happen to us throughout our lifetime that make us feel stuck, worthless, guilty, shamed, and like we are never enough. These ideas about ourselves dictate the way we learn, how we do in school and work, and how we love and connect to others. When someone has experienced trauma, these thoughts and feelings can be even more extreme which can cause significant distress. Growth and Empowerment is accepting new clients!

From working with immigrant children who presented with a language barrier within a school setting, adolescents struggling with self-harm and suicidal ideation, and victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse I am devoted to helping individuals find their voice and use their voice through individual, group and family sessions.
It is safe to say that as humans we have the ability to survive some of the most difficult challenges. Whether these difficulties stem from our workplace, families, relationships, financial stress, physical health or a combination of all of the above we can all agree that at times the stress seems inevitable and along with it feelings of depression and anxiety can slowly start to manifest and impact our daily functioning. Taking a step back and putting our mental health first is a huge step toward learning and developing the skills needed to be the best version of us and not just survive, but learn to live.

I am trained in CBT, DBT, EMDR (helpful for anxiety, grief, abuse, sexual assault, disturbing memories, bullying, performance anxiety, PTSD), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Thought Field Therapy which is similar to “Tapping” (effective for anxiety, trauma, depression, phobias, and more), plus Functional Medicine and Homeopathy.
If you are tired of feeling this way, know that there is hope. Sometimes life seems to get off track, but you can reclaim your life...regaining strength, balance, direction, and meaning. Therapy can be a place to begin this journey and gain lasting relief. Through a whole mind-body approach, we will explore all contributing factors, and address the root causes of your symptoms. I've been helping people for over 20 years with a variety of issues. So if you are dealing with trauma, abuse history, depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, or just day-to-day stressors, I will work with you to achieve the healing you deserve.

I do a good deal of work with men and women (15 and older) who have had traumatic childhood experiences of physical and sexual abuse.
*If you are looking for my family business consulting practice, go to: www.blumandsavlov.com.* I have many years of experience helping people to find relief from anxiety, depression and relationship problems. Also, I find it very rewarding to guide people in creating the best life possible by helping them to develop greater confidence, improve friendships and intimate relationships (dating, marriage, long-term life partnerships), get more satisfaction out of work and have more fun and meaningful lives. My style is interactive and conversational and an in-person meeting is the best way to find out if we are a good match to work together.

I've successfully treated lack of self-worth, depression, anxiety, addictions, emotional and sexual abuse, relationship issues, artists and creativity, grieving, disability, living in the dying process and adoption related issues.
Are you a talented, intelligent, person who walks around with feelings of anxiety depression and shame? Shame, that you feel underwater, that you are not living up to your potential, or that you maybe ruined what should have been a great life? My understanding of shame/resilience is at the core of my work as I believe that shame can significantly contribute to much of the stress and unhappiness we experience. Personally, having changed careers at midlife and walked a path that is unconventional, I deeply understand how shameful it can feel to believe you are an outsider.

I specialize in assessing and treating children, adolescents, and adults who have been victims of trauma in the form of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.
A key ingredient to successful therapy is having a strong therapeutic relationship. To foster this relationship I am open and honest with my client's and create an environment that allow the people I work with to feel cared for, safe, and free from judgement. My main treatment method is cognitive behavioral therapy however I take an integrative approach to treatment. I consider the individual needs of my clients, I help them regulate their emotions, manage stressors, and function effectively in their daily lives. I work with my clients collaboratively to develop interventions and coping strategies that work for them.
