I am a licensed professional counselor, because I believe everyone has the ability to make a change and create a set of coping strategies to overcome life's many challenges. Acceptance, encouragement, and solution integration are the main objectives of my sessions. During my years of experience in practice, my areas of specialization include working with individuals and families struggling with Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Gender Identity, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) in the state of New Jersey. I use evidence-based therapies and techniques in Motivational interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also incorporate client-centered and strength-based approaches to help and empower people, so that they can improve their quality of life. I have worked with a range of people from teenagers to adults/seniors with varying difficulties i.e. grief and loss, end of life issues, substance dependence/addiction, codependency, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, anger management, and self-esteem.

Life's struggles can cause confusion, discomfort, and unhappiness in our life. Issues that are troubling can lead to substance use, increased stress, and or other unsettling thoughts/behaviors often resulting in unpleasant actions or regrettable decisions. It has been stated, "a wise man [person] seeks counsel", and truly a person who recognizes the benefits of counseling demonstrates action toward a healthier lifestyle and positive mental health. Regardless of the reasons why, it is important to feel empowered to overcome them and effectively cope with them in a more effective, healthier way.

We all need someone in our lives that is source of support and encourages us to grow. For over the past 16 years I have worked with adults and adolescents struggling with diverse mental health issues. This can include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD,eating disorders, substance abuse, and borderline personality disorder. These issues can be influenced by stress from external triggers, including trauma, family issues, medical issues, work stress, relationship issues, and grief and loss. Throughout my extensive experience in hospital and private practice settings, I find individuals often feel intensely overwhelmed and stuck in negative thinking patterns and behaviors. By developing a therapeutic relationship, we can create a treatment plan to increase positive feelings and facilitate effective behavioral changes.

Taylor Kelly is a Licensed Associate Counselor in New Jersey who has been practicing since 2023. She received her BS from the University of Scranton in 2019 and majored in Psychology. She received her MA from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2022 and majored in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Taylor provides a safe, warm, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment for her clients to feel comfortable sharing their lives with her whilst working on themselves and symptomatic relief.

Since completing my Masters degree in 2002, I've enjoyed a career working with individuals, couples, families, and groups in a variety of clinical settings. The majority of my experience has been in treating adolescents and adults with a wide range of issues including; divorce, addictions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, abuse and trauma, and chronic mental illness.

I earned my MA in Counseling with a specialization in Family, Marriage, and Couples Counseling from Pillar College. Additionally, I earned my undergraduate degree in English from Kean University and a Social Science degree from Brookdale Community College.
