Art Therapy Groups are open now. We provide Counseling, Psychotherapy and Art Therapy to adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families. Due to my clinical training and experience, my services are best suited for families experiencing relationship issues, parenting stress, divorce, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attachment issues, developmental disabilities, and immigration-related concerns. Each of my clients receives an individualized treatment plan, and when required, a battery of tests tailored to the individual needs of the client. My work often includes school visits, participating in IEP meetings, home visits, collaboration with pediatricians and psychiatrists, testifying in court, and consulting with experts.

Jane has a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Prior to starting in the mental health field 6 years ago, Jane spent 27 years working in long term care and ran grief and loss and caregiver support groups. Jane also has experience working with the special needs population and has an adult son with Autism so she has personal experience advocating for this population and an understanding of the challenges faced by this population and their families.

I am a psychotherapist with over 45 years experience treating adults, older children, adolescents and couples. Good day to you! My educational background is in Clinical Psychology and Counseling Psychology with a Post Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis. I began my career in providing behavioral and mental healthcare services in 2004. Since that time, I have devoted myself to helping youth, adolescents, and adults address neurodiverse needs. In June of 2016, I founded Beautiful Minds to meet the mental and behavioral health needs of youth, families, and adults living in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Dr. Gail Canavan is an advanced practice nurse clinician with more than 30 years of experience in private practice treating adolescents and adults with mental health concerns including depression, panic and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), drug and alcohol addiction, out of control sexual behavior, post-traumatic stress disorder (P.T.S.D.), eating disorders, and dementia. In addition to an integrative general psychotherapy and medication management practice, Dr. Canavan specializes in sex therapy and relationship dynamics, working with individuals and couples of all ages and sexual orientations.

I believe strongly that clients come in all different shapes and sizes and from different walks of life. I've worked in various medical and educational settings and am licensed in NJ, NY and FL.
