With thirty-five years of experience in the field of mental health, Dr. Quinn specializes in the effective treatment of eating disorders, addictions & trauma through individual, couples & family therapy for adults, children and adolescents. In treating clients with eating disorders, Dr. Quinn works closely with families, primary care physicians, psychiatrists and inpatient facilities to coordinate treatment. Dr. Quinn also incorporates expressive therapies (art & movement) with verbal therapy to access inner pain and promote deep healing.

I have been working with children and adolescents for over 10 years in the context of individual and family therapy. GateHouse Treatment is a private substance abuse center providing intervention and treatment services to those struggling with substance use disorders and individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders. Dr. Van Santen conducts comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults that include a variety of components that are found in psychoeducational, neuropsychological, and psychological evaluations. Evaluations can be used to identify Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ages 16 and older), Learning Disabilities such as reading disorders (e.g., dyslexia), writing disorders (e.g., dysgraphia), and math disorders (e.g., dyscalculia). After a comprehensive evaluation has been completed, Dr. Van Santen can also provide Diagnostic Teaching (DT).
