As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in individual and couples therapy, working effectively with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. My focus is on helping couples develop strong communication skills to ensure long-term, successful relationships. Pre-marital counseling is an area of expertise, wherein couples learn new tools and strategies to address common challenges and avoid pitfalls that are obstacles to healthy relationships. Couples find that my ability to analyze and help them to understand their personality styles enables them to experience harmony within their differences.
Empathetic listening enables me to understand your experiences, perspectives, and goals for therapy. My strength-based approach builds upon your positive attributes. I incorporate varied therapeutic strategies, including psychodynamic, narrative, and collaborative family systems approaches. Clients see me as warm, caring, knowledgeable, and of good humor.
In addition to being a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, I have a background in education and career counseling, enabling me to support clients in managing work and academic responsibilities, challenges, and anxieties. I enjoy supporting and coaching clients who identify as neurodiverse, including individuals with ADHD.
