In therapy, we will unpack the situations that bring you pain and keep you stuck in the loop.

Has your relationship been impacted by an affair, problematic pornography use, and one of you has trauma from sexual betrayal? Infidelity and betrayal trauma can turn your world upside down and make you feel like the rug has been yanked out from under you. I specialize in working with infidelity, betrayal trauma, and problematic sexual behavior. I have enjoyed working with individuals and couples as they are often affected by problematic pornography use and live affairs. Also, I've been privileged to provide supervision to student interns in UNLV's Marriage & Family Therapy program and am an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.

There are times when everyone feels like their struggles are too big for them to handle alone. When people feel unheard, unmotivated, overwhelmed, discarded, or misunderstood, it can be difficult to ask for help. Seeking therapy can be a big step, so I want you to know that my goal is to make clients feel comfortable enough to work on their issues, large or small. These issues could seem simple to outsiders; like procrastination, low self-esteem, or being unhappy in your current situation. However, in therapy I offer a nonjudgmental space where you and I can work together to figure it all out and to work toward YOUR goals.

My ideal client is motivated for change, open to new challenges, and is willing to consider new ideas. Sometimes this is the individual who presents for services, other times this is a concerned parent or caregiver who is seeking out help for a child or teen and who is looking for professional guidance.

I am now taking new clients in person or via Telehealth. I have experience in trauma, and I focus in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy when treating clients. I am committed to providing the upmost ethical and professional treatment, that is specifically designed for you. I am bilingual and provide sessions in English and/or Spanish. I am familiar with issues of anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, and other mental health disorders.

My therapeutic style is relaxed while remaining engaged and focused on client progress. While I enjoy working with individuals and couples, I particularly have a passion for working with teens and families. I utilize a family system approach, which encourages sessions with parents and children, alone and together. Most recently, I had the privilege of working for the CC Fire Department, serving the firefighters and their families.

Accepting New Clients!!!! My name is Jacqueline Anthony, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California and Nevada. I began my career in counseling in the 1980’s when I served as a Correctional Counselor for the California Department of Corrections. While working for the Department of Corrections, I received many life lessons that inform my practice today. Though too numerous to mention, the most salient points include the resiliency of the human spirit, the resolve of a vision, and the truth that our true and lasting wealth is “this moment, this hour, this day.”

I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients who have decided to make the commitment to work towards positive change in their lives.
