Through using Cognitive Behavioral, Internal Family Systems, psychoeducation, and mindfulness interventions, I help clients work with their "parts" so they can learn to better manage their anxiety/depression/anger, etc.
As a former collegiate athlete, I love working with younger and older adults around life transitions, identity, and anxiety. I also enjoy working with couples around infidelity and communication, and with adult children and their parents. I work well with clients who are interested in learning why they think and act the way that they do, and are interested in learning how to have more agency in their lives. I believe that our relationships influence how people view, conceptualize, and behave in the world, and that having insight into how our relationships affect us can lead to our own behavior change.

My approach takes into account biological science, culture, psychology, family context, and spiritual/religious considerations.
People often come to psychotherapy in search of more peace; to work through personal challenges and/or relieve pain from sources such as anxiety, depression, feelings of inadequacy, loss, or addiction. They may be struggling in their relationships or moving through a profound life transition. For some, their faith has been shaken in some significant way. Whatever the motivation might be for seeking professional help, I care deeply about assisting clients in gaining insight, education, self-awareness, and strength. Everyone has challenges. Working collaboratively, we can achieve the goals most desired for a healthier life.

I use collaboration to give family members a chance to feel less alone in their struggle.
Accepting new clients! $35 per session. Taking the first step to reach for help might feel the toughest. Recognizing how you may benefit from therapy means you are already on a path to wellness. Life can be a beautiful opportunity, so why might some of us be driven to escape? Understanding the experience of depression and suicidal ideation, my goal is to provide as much guidance as within reach to access your possibilities. With a deep understanding of generational trauma, I am open to diverse populations.

Feeling discouraged or stuck in life is something we all experience, whether it's in reaching personal goals, advancing in our careers, or nurturing relationships. Together, we can start breaking down these barriers, paving the way for a more productive, joyful, and peaceful life.

Hello! My name is Emily. I am a licensed couple, family and child therapist. I have a lot of toys and games in my office for my kiddo clients so I always get asked if I see adults too. Yes, I see people of all ages! My background is in human development and the ways in which attachment, traumas, and other significant life experiences shape how our automatic nervous systems respond to environmental triggers, brain structure, and behaviors at each different life cycle stage. Anxiety, anger, mood shifts, loneliness, loss, detachment, fear of trust, chronic illness, people with higher sensitivities- these are some of my top areas.
