In the famous words of Eric Matthews, (BMW) “Hey bro, life’s tough, get a helmet!” If only it were that easy, right!? This statement from my old sitcom obsession hit deep the first time I heard it, but has really engraved itself deeper the older, more experienced with life I have gotten. I’ve learned very quickly and/or the hard way that walking around with a helmet on wouldn’t make much of a difference at all and would probably just add to the stressors and hardships of life. Today’s world is different. Today’s world is hard. Today’s world can be scary. But most importantly, you don’t have to go through today’s world alone.

I have approximately twenty years of experience working with adolescents, adults and families dealing with issues pertaining to depression and anxiety disorders, past trauma, stress and anger management, family and relationship difficulties, behavioral problems, positive decision making, and grief/loss. As the wife of a retired Air Force veteran, I have a comprehensive understanding of the issues and difficulties facing service members and their families. I also have extensive experience addressing client trauma and aspire to assist clients in reprocessing their trauma so that they can lead full and healthy lives.

I love children, and especially appreciate the opportunity to work with young children and their parents. I believe that when a child is struggling with some type of emotional or behavioral issue, it is important for them to have a safe place to discuss their concerns and feel that they have someone "on their side." I have been working in the field of mental health and addiction for over 20 years. I am also a certified hypnotherapist. I treat individuals and couples. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction. Hypnosis is very effective in treating trauma. I am also a certified master trainer of hypnosis.
