I have experience working with adults, couples, adolescents, and children. I also specialize in the areas of domestic violence, military, children and families, anxiety, and depression. I utilize a variety of techniques such as motivational interviewing, strengths based, cognitive behavioral therapy, and person-centered approach.

I am a North Dakota native, worked with children, youth, and adults in a variety of different settings and professional roles since January 1979, and in private practice since January 2010. I will always work with the client to determine the best treatment focus, and method, in an open and collaborative manner. I utilize an eclectic range of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, Solution & Strengths Based Focused strategies.

I work with adults and adolescents who are dealing with depression and anxiety along with other emotional and relationship difficulties. I am trained in EMDR therapy. I make sure my clients are both validated and challenged when we are working together. Additionally, I have a passion for working with women who are on their way to becoming mothers. Whether it be struggles with infertility, pregnancy loss or emotional struggles that begin after the baby is born, I work with women or couples to better cope with these issues.

Sloane extends a warm and inviting space for individuals ages 11 and older, as well as, couples who are currently struggling in their relationship or would like premarital counseling. Sloane provides conventional or Christian counseling services for those struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, anger, grief, spirituality, transitions in life, and conflict resolution. Having a trusted guide who is non-judgmental, down-to-earth, fun, relatable, and has a few movie quotes up her sleeve can be helpful in navigating thoughts and feelings that can at times seem overwhelming.

I specialize in children and adolescent therapy for young people aged 6 to 17 years old. My focus is helping children, pre-teens, and teens understand themselves in this BIG world. The caregivers I work with have all sorts of questions such as: “why does my child act this way?”, or “why do they react like this?”. Maybe feeling stuck or like a “bad parent”. Some children may experience events and/or ongoing hardships in their lives that impact their ability to cope. I specialize in treating adults and adolescents 15+ struggling with depression, anxiety, survivors of trauma, and other common mental health concerns with a special emphasis on trauma treatment resulting from personal injury, for first responders, and for military personnel.

I am a full-time Conventional and Christian Counselor in Bismarck working with individuals and couples. I help individuals from ages 21 and older who are going through Anxiety, Depression, overcoming Trauma and PTSD, or struggling with Life Changes and Challenges. I enjoy helping couples strengthen their relationships or restoring broken or struggling relationships.

In my early years I was taught to be kind and respectful of others and that carried me through many trials and tribulations. Through my life, I have found a deep desire to be there for the people who feel like no one understands them. I predominately work with individuals ages 8-25 who might struggle with various issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger management, and low self esteem. I also have experience working with adults and families. I use various therapeutic techniques such as, cognitive behavioral and person centered, to help individuals who might be struggling with anything from day to day struggles to a significant life event. I am also trained in EMDR.
