You're asking yourself "why can't I stop thinking about my ex?" or "who the heck am I without my partner?" Or maybe you canNOT focus at work and get easily distracted and overwhelmed by most things. Perhaps you feel like you have lost control of your thoughts or emotions. You find yourself thinking about the breakup/how lonely you feel/how disorganized you are/that big decision you need to make...and you’re judging yourself for all of it. Sometimes you even judge your judgment, wondering how you’re ever going to break out of this cycle of acting out of your overwhelming emotions or spinning thoughts.

Are you attracted to unavailable people? Are you continually struggling with your health? Does having a job you love feel impossible? Are you in an unhappy relationship? It can be heartbreaking not to have the relationship, health, or fulfilling work you want, despite your best efforts. Using Sex Therapy and Attachment Science, I can help you change your sex, relationship and money templates. Our sex, relationship and money templates are based on our experiences in life, especially in childhood, as well as inherited family stories and traumas. They inform everything we think, feel and attract and we can change them for the better.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping individuals understand their unique wiring with compassion and curiosity. The more understanding we have of ourselves, the greater freedom and joy we will have in life. The brain is such a beautiful piece of us and I am continuously amazed at how it protects us when we need it to. Much of the work I do is assisting you in helping your brain and body reduce defenses when we truly are safe. I believe that taking an honest, directive and nurturing approach is the key to successful treatment. The predominate therapeutic modalities I use are EMDR, CBT, IFS and TRE.

Lets explore your life experience in a new and exciting way. I see suffering as an opportunity to break free from old patterns, habits, and ways of thinking that are not working for you anymore. It's a call from deep inside saying, "something needs to shift". This shift can come from exploring a relationship to a substance that you are using, and the pain, anxiety, depression, or a general sense of not loving your life that may come with it. Your unique journey is here right now, and experiencing it from a nonjudgmental perspective can be a vital ingredient to moving past whatever is holding you back from living your best life.

There's a part of you, deep down, that believes that you will never be enough. Smart enough, attractive enough, successful enough, likable enough, good enough. I want to tell that fearful part of you that I recognize it's trying to protect you from getting hurt. So you never put yourself out there or take a risk that could be life-changing. I know how hard it is to take a leap of faith, because stability and monotony is safe. If you don't try to go after what you want, you can't fail. And failing is really, really scary.

I understand human development and thriving is difficult in this lifetime. I am here to be of help. This struggle may be found in a past trauma that is sticks out in your heart and mind as a thorn piercing in. Or maybe it's the neurodivergent attributes of yourself you haven't quite understood. Maybe you've been diagnosed with ADHD at a young age and never learned anything about it or how to take care of it other than taking medication - or worse, thinking that you were inadequate. Maybe it's the navigation of unclear waters around your own psyche. May we create clear pathways together.

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating late-diagnosed ADHD and Autism and overcoming experiences of anxiety and trauma.
Does it feel like you keep hitting the same wall of anxiety, overwhelm, and self-criticism? Maybe you’re generally satisfied with where you’re at in life but can’t seem to stop that nagging feeling that you “should” be doing more. Despite being adaptive, intelligent, and insightful, you still never quite feel "good enough". I want to support you in freeing yourself from the traps of family pressure, cultural expectations, and societal demands while stepping into your inherent worth and self-trust. As your counselor, I'll help you sort through your conflicting feelings, make peace with your past, and embrace your truth.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
