Clients find their success comes from within themselves once they begin to be honest with themselves about the issues causing problems in their lives. Counseling assists them to begin the process then it assists them through the process.

I work with all ages struggling with various issues but many common issues I see are anxiety, trauma, depression, mood fluctuations, self-harm, school and home behavioral issues, aggression, attachment problems, relationship issues, sexual identity, and eating disorders. I also work with families to improve communication patterns, enhance relationships, shift responsibilities in the household, prevent enabling of maladaptive behaviors, implement a behavioral system, improve harmony, and regain order in the home. I am a Qualified Clinical Supervisor and I am available to provide supervision for LCMHC-A and Master's Level interns.

My services include working with individual, couples, family and group counseling with adults, adolescents and children. My training is in the areas of anxiety and depressive disorders, relationship issues, trauma issues, and developmental transitions. I use a therapeutic approach that reflects eclectic influences derived from my training in the psychodynamic, person-centered, family systems, and cognitive-behavioral. I view problems as generally being developmental in nature, and approach each person, couple, family or group in a unique fashion.

I have an avid interest in helping children, adults, and families dealing with special needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, mental and/or physical challenges, and Academically Gifted and Talented. I also specialize in supporting clients and families coping with chronic and/or serious illnesses. Siblings, who are often overlooked in these families, are of special concern to me. Depression, anxiety and grief and loss issues due to death, divorce and other life changes hold a special interest for me as well.

I enjoy working with all ages (children, adolescents, and adults) as there is so much to learn from everyone.

Many of my clients come to counseling wanting to work through struggles, strengthen relationships, or process painful experiences. As a counselor, I strive to respond to the unique needs of my clients with genuineness, respect, and support. Over the past eight years, I have provided counseling to individuals, couples, and families for issues related to anxiety, depression, relational conflict, parenting struggles, managing stress, navigating career transitions, and coping with loss.
