Whether it’s ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, or perfectionism, I’m ready to support you.
You’re driven and ambitious, but sometimes you find yourself stuck on the couch, overwhelmed by anxiety, procrastination, and perfectionism. Some days you’re on top of the world, and others, you're constantly second-guess yourself. You feel the pressure to keep it together, balancing your job, relationships, and life... and you are tired. You get in your own head and escape through mindless eating, drinking, doom scrolling, and sleepless nights, but deep down, you have big goals. The fog of self-doubt and fear of failure makes it hard to get started, and you’re ready for a change.

Hi, I'm Sean! I specialize in working with adults and adolescents with ADHD, chronic depression, and trauma. I’m passionate about working with adults and adolescents with ADHD. I understand that ADHD is more than just hyperactivity and difficulty focusing. It can disrupt life goals, career ambitions, and self-care plans. Impulsivity, restlessness, and racing thoughts can make it hard to accomplish the things we know matter to us. I work with my clients to understand their symptoms, develop self-compassion, and implement strategies that can make day-to-day life easier.

Are you trying to figure out who you are after years of living in survival mode? Do you find yourself struggling with communication, people-pleasing, or setting boundaries? If so, you might be in the right place. I’m passionate about helping first-time therapy goers, complex trauma survivors, and folks with ADHD navigate their journey toward deeper self-understanding. I have years of experience working with women, in particular, struggling with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. More times than not, in the case of women struggling with depression, anxiety, and even mood disorders- the symptoms stem from undiagnosed and untreated ADHD. I like to get to the root of issues and focus on solution oriented skills to help others build a life they love living.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
