My clinical interests have grown from general therapy issues into more niche areas such as couples, anxiety, obsessive compulsive behaviors, career, grief, chronic pain, substance abuse, self-injurious behaviors, personality disorders, trauma, and faith-based issues. I have also expanded into psychological testing ranging from personality, differential diagnosis, pre-surgical screening (e.g., spinal cord stimulator implants, bariatric), and cognitive assessments. My experience also includes training medical residents, supervision of masters/doctoral students, consulting, and teaching at a collegiate level.

Please note: I will not be taking on new clients while on extended leave between July-September, 2024 - My goal is to provide a safe, supportive experience that meets the needs you bring with you into this space. I am a licensed in NC, SC, FL, & CA, specializing in trauma, anxiety & depression, and chemical dependency. I use a goal-directed approach to therapy, as I want you to feel like your investment is creating tangible results. This typically involves a combination of evidence-based treatment, supportive counseling, and foundational cognitive/behavioral skills.

I am a believer in the human experience and normalizing the suffering that is a part of that experience. I do not take a pathological approach to individuals' mental health. I believe you will suffer within your lifetime and that we can work together to build your capacity for resilience. That being said I understand that some individuals have a chemical imbalance, or may experience psychosis if that is the case we can work together to take the proper steps for your health. Presently I work with children from ages four and up as well as adults.

My journey towards becoming a healer began in 2009 with a vision of creating a safe place that supports the emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical health of men and women. I worked as a licensed massage therapist for 10 years in Scottsdale AZ before returning to West Liberty University to obtain my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Since graduating, I have worked in the psychiatric outpatient setting
