I am Summer Bowman, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, an Adjunct Psychology Instructor, and a US Air Force Veteran. I do virtual counseling with individuals and parents in private practice in Holly Ridge, NC. I have been a counselor for 8 years. My bachelors degree is in Elementary Education with ESL endorsement (K-9). While teaching in public schools, I worked on attaining my Master's Degree in Psychology with a Specialty in Clinical in order to help people, especially those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

I am here to help families, children as young as 4, teens, & women from diverse backgrounds. With over a decade of working with primary substance use disorders and co-occurring issues, I am passionate about assisting individuals remain in long-term recovery. I have extensive experience in working with clients 18 and up, both men and women, recover from addiction. I also have experience in treating co-occurring disorders. I have specialized experience in treating adult children of alcoholics/addicts & codependency issues.
