You'll find a safe, open, and welcoming space where you can freely explore stress, anxiety and trauma.
Are you tired of your thoughts going a mile a minute? Do social media posts trigger responses that hit a little too close to home? Feeling like you just can't handle it all, no matter how much you vent to your friends and how many memes you send? I get it. Anxiety and trauma can make everyday life feel overwhelming and exhausting, especially when you're going through major changes or the stress keeps adding up. I'm here to help you find balance, break unhealthy patterns, and gain control of your life so you can move forward without the burdens that aren't yours to carry.

My focus is on trauma-informed modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy.
Everyone deserves a non-judgmental therapist, someone who sees the light in even the parts of ourselves we are still working on, healing, or hiding. I desire to guide others in their best and higher versions of themselves while appreciating the mechanisms used to cope thus far.

I help moms thrive without fear, anxiety and overwhelm. My clients struggle as you do. Despite being strong, capable and amazing, life is hard. Even harder really since becoming a mom. When you first come in, you’re struggling to know yourself, inundated with overwhelm, fear, worry and a heavy load. Everyone’s load may look different, but it’s heavy. With EMDR, moms can begin to feel less overwhelmed, less triggered, less anxious and there’s room for more joy!

Sometimes we have difficulty turning life's lemons into lemonade. You could probably manage a bag of lemons but what happens when you're given a truck load? I imagine you'd reach out for help. Using therapy is a similar concept. Having difficulty turning life events into manageable situations. Especially when we're overwhelming negative thoughts, deep emotions, or traumatic experiences feel impossible to navigate. Feeling stuck is bound to happen when finances, relationship issues, disabilities, or caring for ourselves/others are added to our daily responsibilities, feeling stuck is bound to happen and it happens to all of us...

Warrior Wellness is dedicated to helping Combat Veterans and First Responders transition into civilian life, along with others suffering with Trauma by providing specialized therapy and support services.
For those with Combat Stress or Trauma, traditional therapy models tend to fail because they are based on cognitive reframing, emotional intelligence and empathy...something that was conditioned out of you and never put back. Being asked to "think positively," "do your deep breathing," and "use your coping skills" rarely works if you are not taught the WHY. That's where psycho-education comes in. Humans have an intrinsic need to understand the purpose behind what we are doing for it to hold any meaning, let alone be implemented. Book with me by clicking on my website!

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
