In life we have a wave of experiences. These waves can challenge and inspire us. Throughout life, it can be valuable to have a space that is your own. A space where you feel safe and uplifted. This is why it is important to find a therapist that meets your needs. I am a Latinx bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in working with individuals who are facing challenges related to self-worth, difficulty with life transitions, family of origin experiences, family conflict, and interpersonal difficulties. As well as depression, anxiety, and trauma.

Therapy is for everyone. Life is beautiful, but it can also be brutal. We all go through times in our lives where talking it out with a friend or meditating just doesn't cut it. Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, or just feeling stuck in life, I'm here for you. I'll walk alongside you on this journey to help you identify your strengths and coping strategies to help you move forward. We'll also detangle the threads of your past and help you make sense of the story of your life. We'll talk about your childhood trauma as well as what's going on in the present - and how these things interact.

I am accepting new clients! I'm Carman Gill, a licensed clinical mental health counselor. I grew up in Western North Carolina and became interested in understanding mental health, healing, and wellness. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of clients with unique needs, including adults dealing with grief and individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress-related symptoms. I understand that at times everyone struggles with managing stressful life events and at times, this can feel overwhelming. Having someone who listens without judgement and helps with insights and tools for coping is important.

Accepting new clients in NC + MA. More info at www.shannondraper.co - Therapy looks and feels differently now. That traditional head nodding, passive engagement, and ‘how does that make you feel?’ is a thing of the past. I enjoy actively supporting and challenging folks in their process of reflection, introspection, and growth. My approach is compassionate and direct. I work best with people who are asking questions, shifting relationships with themselves or others, and who are committed to showing up and/or learning more about their authentic, vulnerable, and values focused self.

Feeling stuck and motionless in a relationship is an all-too-common feeling. So many couples struggle with sex issues, talking about vulnerable topics, and having the same fights over and over again. Finding the "right person" and putting in the effort it takes to keep a relationship going is HARD, and our histories and relationship patterns don’t always help us do that. Patterns- not situations- keep us from moving forward. As a licensed psychologist specializing in relationships and sexuality, I’m here to help organize the mess and provide a path forward, whether that’s with couples or individuals who need some guidance.

Life gets busy; it sometimes feels too busy to stop and take a moment. When this happens, feelings of overwhelm, worry, and burnout occurs. I strive to help you take ownership and find strength when feeling powerless. I work with teens, college students, and adult women in areas of confidence, life transitions, and perinatal/women's issues. Loving who you are is not a linear process. I want to help you feel comfortable in your skin so you can navigate life feeling proud, confident, and worthy of meaningful connections.

I often find that we can put such pressure on ourselves to "keep it all together" or even be "perfect." But that can be a heavy load to carry. If you're looking for a hand, maybe I can help. Specifically, I offer therapy with adults and older teens (16+) and enjoy working with a range of topics including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, perfectionism & OCD, eating & body image concerns, young adulthood, identity, and relationships. In addition, I have experience with exploring spiritual/religious concerns if a client wants to, often including topics of religious trauma, faith deconstruction/questioning, or moral scrupulosity.

As a somatically focused gestalt therapist, I believe there is wisdom and meaning in our suffering and that we need to be able to experience and listen to our bodies in order to feel whole and alive. Our relationship can help you create the change you are longing for by supporting you to get clearer about your needs, respond more flexibly and effectively to the world around you, and ultimately have a fuller and more fulfilling experience of yourself, your relationships, and your possibilities.

Hello, and welcome! I fully believe that every person brings an individualistic perspective to the table - Shaped by their own identities, experiences, and challenges. It's most important to create a space where we can explore unique solutions together and model healthy communication and relationships. My hope is that we explore emotions, practice vulnerability, and work towards personal goals together. I also acknowledge how my identities and statuses of privilege show up and I intentionally operate with an anti-racism lens to help empower clients to show up authentically.

Living with chronic pain, I’m intimately aware of the toll it takes on the body, mind, and spirit— how it’s woven into the fabric of all aspects of living, how it has a tendency to keep us tethered to fear, hopelessness, and isolation. I believe in validating the reality of what is chronic and pervasive. I also believe it is possible to soften the grasp these experiences have on our lives. I’m especially passionate about supporting folx with conditions that are often invalidated and overlooked, such as IC, ENDO, & PCOS. And as a highly sensitive person (HSP), I’m deeply committed to supporting those with (extra!) tender hearts.

The ability to exist in a safe space without judgement or self-criticism is something that has become increasingly hard to find in an age of anxiety and instability. Do you find yourself weighed down by negative self-talk or hold yourself to unrealistic standards? I offer a space that encourages creativity, honesty and vulnerability, where you can talk through your issues and lighten the pressures that are causing you stress. Remember to slow down and reach for progress, not perfection.

There’s this old saying, “Just look towards the light at the end of the tunnel. Everything will be alright.” But what if the tunnel is long and the end feels extremely far away? What we are unable to see where the tunnel ends? What if the tunnel is so dark that we have to focus on not tripping so we can’t take the time to look for the end? Many of us may feel this way in our daily lives. We may feel that we are in this tunnel and are having trouble finding the light at the end of it. We may feel depressed, stressed, overwhelmed or hopeless. But what if I told you that the light at the end may not be the only light?

You can never seem to get on track. You’ve tried everything you can think of. The message you’re getting through life is to try harder. And just trying harder never seems to work. Whether you have ADHD or some of the traits attributed to it, trying harder isn’t going to work. What the well-meaning people who try to help don’t know is that you need to try something different. Each time you lose your keys, forget to turn off the stove, or get sidetracked and lose track of time, you roll your eyes at yourself. Not again! And you could be experiencing anxiety, depression, big life changes, or other mental health issues alongside it.

I am a queer sex therapist, providing a relaxed, open, collaborative and non-judgmental atmosphere. My intention is to support people in the LGBTQIA+, non-monogamy, and kink communities (Gender, Sexuality and Relationship Diverse). I will cater my approach to your needs, but my natural style is straight-forward, so I tend to delve into the issues at hand so that you can see improvement in your emotional well-being as quickly as possible. Once immediate stressors have been calmed, we can work on a deeper level together in order to gain insight on underlying beliefs and experiences that may be contributing to your distress.
