When we come to therapy, often our choices have not led to the life we desire. Under the influence of anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress, or the allure of substances, pornography, spending, etc., it can seem like life is out of our control. Rather than be controlled, we desperately want to be free to pursue what is truly good. Therapy then is an opportunity to not only find freedom from mental turmoil, but to realign life toward what is worth pursuing. The goal, then, is not simply to “not feel” a certain way, but to be drawn into something much greater that transforms our mind, our relationships, our work, our spirit.

Art therapy offers a unique path to access and express dreamlike or diffuse mental images representing emotional memories that often are non-linear and therefore difficult to express verbally. The imagery then becomes the subject of contemplation and discussion with the art therapist and will add to the client's understanding of what motivates her/his behavior and emotions. In addition, art making is a soothing and meditative process and helps reduce stress, anxiety and depression while working through sometimes difficult issues.

Do you feel that there is a disconnect between who you are and who you present to the world? Perhaps your relationships with others, with substances, with your religion, beliefs, or culture are not what you want them to be. Maybe you're in the midst of a life transition and asking yourself hard questions about the world around you. Whatever the reason may be, my clients bravely come to therapy, seeking ways to live a more authentic life, and I join them as we find ways to do so. I believe that we all deserve to live a life that is true to who we are, and that therapy can help us to achieve that.

Reset and rediscover yourself and your relationships with therapy. Life can be a struggle, and it's easy to feel aimless and unfulfilled despite achieving what society considers success. But there is hope. By challenging yourself and seeking personal growth, you can transform your life, relationships, and perspective on your world. Therapy can be a powerful tool on this journey, whether you're an individual seeking self-discovery or a couple looking to improve your relationship. If this sounds like you, it's time to make a change.

Why do we do anything? I believe the reason that we do anything is to feel better. There may be 5 physical senses; however, we pursue life always in the hope of feeling better. We attract our life circumstances based on how we feel. Our active emotions create an emotional vibrational set point. When we learn to tend to our emotional health first, prior to engaging in action, we become the authors of our lives. Learning to find emotional alignment prior to engaging in activity, conversation, and interaction with others, will allow us to attract our wanted life desires. Thus, change your energy and you change your life.

Most people with anxiety or depression don’t realize how their negative self-talk keeps them down and actually deepens their anxiety or depression. After working with me, my clients identify and reverse the effects of their negative self-talk, start feeling energized and motivated to do the things they used to enjoy, and are able to experience the simple joys of being alive again.

Hi Thanks for taking a look at my profile- Reach out if it seems we might be able to work together in a way that would be helpful to you...I'm working only via telehealth which reduces your commute time. My clients tend to be working on being awake and aware of and attuned to and stressed by the complexity of our culture today. I work with issues of alternative sexuality, gender dysphoria, relationships in all forms including relationships that are kink friendly and/or poly. I come from an eclectic training background but use RLT and IFS more often than other modalities.

I began my career in mental health and addictions counseling in 1992. Since that time, I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ranging from rural community clinics and hospitals to managing clinics in urban communities. I've directed an international employee assistance program, worked in university counseling centers, and developed and managed treatment programs for executives and professionals. The populations I have served have been just as varied—they include individuals dealing with addictions (both substance abuse and behavioral), mental health issues, families, adoption, indigent persons, athletes, executives

I whole-heartedly believe that you are the expert on you! I hold the framework in our work together that you contain the inner wisdom around what you need for healing and growth. My role is to help you identify, strengthen, and listen to that inner guidance. At times this inner-knowing can become muted or distorted.

I work with adults struggling with relationship issues, addiction, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Many of my clients are high performers who have become successful despite a difficult childhood. If you are curious how therapy can help you reduce your suffering, improve your relationships, and help you heal from past traumas, I encourage you to reach out for a free consultation. I use elements of EMDR therapy in my approach. I am kink allied and sex positive. I invite you to come as you are. I will respect, support, and encourage you during our time in therapy.

Deciding to venture into therapy is never an easy decision so it's important to note the strength it took to make it this far. I believe the goal of any type of therapy is to make the uncomfortable comfortable. My goal is to help you navigate the difficult emotions, intrusive thoughts, judgments , and impulsive behavior through a behavioral based approach.

Those I work with are often quite stuck. They may even be in crisis. They struggle with anxiety, depression, upsetting or intrusive thoughts/voices, unexplainable feelings in their bodies, painful memories, questions about gender or sexuality, substance abuse, suicide and more. These experiences may interfere with friendships, parenting, romantic relationships and/or work. The symptom, no matter what particular form it takes, is a message that wants to be heard and hopes to be spoken.

I enjoy working with persons and couples of all ages who are open to exploring both spirituality and psychology for a clear understanding of themselves and their relationships. I see clients with various degrees of emotional struggles, trauma histories, gender and ethnic backgrounds. We all face the classic human condition of pursuing happiness while beset by recurring cycles of worry, dissatisfactions, regrets and uncertainties. My ideal client is realizing the importance of dedicating time for" inner emotional work" despite all the "outer" pulls and demands of work, school, family, relationships, and pleasurable activities.
