Attachment based, mindfulness, somatic, cbt, trained in circle of security parenting reflection program and in motivational interviewing level 1.
I specialize in shifting your relationship with anxiety. One of the bravest things you can do is to explore your own patterns and notice the ways they do or do not serve you. Maybe you keep hitting the same wall in your relationship to your self and with others. I commit to support you in noticing your strengths and finding compassion through depth work. Together we will grow joy and presence in your life, while learning to attend to, and possibly resolve, unhelpful feelings and patterns. I believe in finding space to be ok in our humanness, while also staying accountable for telling ourselves the truth.

We help alleviate the impact of trauma and stress by gracefully combining trauma care, with choices of care from EMDR, IFS, Inner Child, Somatic and Cognitive therapies, allowing you to move freely and have the quality of life you deserve! You need a place to go to get some recovery and answers.
Click in website link to schedule an intake. I truly get it and understand how real- life demands can create barriers to getting help. Maybe, for various reasons the things you have tried haven't fully worked. Of things that can impact our mental health, the impact of trauma is by far one of the things that can interfere with our ability to move with ease in life and can impact so many areas of our life. Sometimes feeling emotionally overwhelmed, shut down or on overdrive, trauma can leave us blocked from our full potential leaving us depressed, anxious, frustrated and stuck.

I have advanced certifications and training in the healing of trauma as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
I provide an integrative approach that speaks to the body, and allows the body to speak to us, building deeper connection, comfort, and self-trust. This leads to feeling more in control, capable, and confident. l often work with those that express that they "feel OK", but know they could get to a better place - that something they don't fully understand keeps holding them back. They often describe underlying feelings of unworthiness or feelings of disconnection. I offer dedicated guidance towards living an embodied and satisfying life, rather than getting stuck in reactivity and automatic patterns that hold us back.

My therapeutic approach is highly Person-Centered, draws upon somatic principles, the mind and body connection, and attachment theories.
Counseling offers a unique opportunity to look inside ourselves and to look around us. Through counseling we can further consider what it would mean to have greater personal understanding, to heal from past or current wounds, and/or to transform into the person we feel we have yet to become. The counseling relationship offers a space of non-judgment where we get to explore any part of what it means to be a human living in this complex, painful, and beautiful world.

Deeply influenced by somatic and existential approaches to therapy, I collaborate to embrace and motivate the whole person.
The loops we live in are the glass ceiling of our life: loops are the patterns, embodied and enacted, that characterize our life. Loops are an inevitable and necessary component of human experience. However, when loops are not working for us, we become limited by them, keeping us feeling stuck, trapped, disempowered, and confused. Owning our loops allows us to own our life. Common loops include: trauma, addiction, relationship dynamics, mood, beliefs, and identity. Push beyond your limiting loops to discover who you are and what your life can be.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
