We are each designed uniquely. Deep down, at the core of our being, we all have a longing for wholeness. The way we experience this basic desire in our day-to-day lives may differ. Maybe it’s a sense of belonging when we experience significance with someone or are accepted. Maybe it is a hollow feeling of disconnection or loneliness, or perhaps it is a compulsion to ease pain in an unhealthy way. Whatever the case, the desire for wholeness is basic to our design and the human experience.

At a young age, I desired to understand feelings, behavior, and the human mind; I have always been driven toward solving the questions that start with why. However, after witnessing the empowering feeling it brings to help someone find a way forward, I became more driven to solve the questions about how. It is a privilege to take the time with someone to discover how they can move forward from their situation into a more positive one. Clients deserve to work with a therapist with integrity, positive intent, someone they can trust and one who truly listens.

I offer psychological assessment across a variety of areas including autism, ADHD, mood disorders, learning difficulties, and behavioral challenges.
Those who might benefit the most from my approach are individuals seeking clarity and understanding of their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. They might be dealing with unresolved issues such as attention problems, learning difficulties, or emotional dysregulation. These clients often have comprehensive assessments to help identify underlying conditions and to guide effective steps to treat them. By providing thorough and empathetic evaluations, I help them understand explanations for their challenges and empower them with the knowledge and tools necessary for meaningful progress.

I experienced grief and was diagnosed with ADHD as well as a learning disability and told I might be on the Autism spectrum.
I was diagnosed with ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and various others as a young person. None of those labels mattered though, because when I found someone who cared and listened things got better. We all have the ability to overcome the challenges in our lives and gain personal strength through the therapy process. My goal is to individualize my services and guide you in finding answers and direction in life.

That's why in my work I am passionate about helping moms with ADHD, autism or other ND traits better understand the special challenges you face, and grow the skills to support your unique needs so you can start thriving in motherhood.
Do you struggle with motherhood more than other women you know? Do you constantly worry that you are a “bad mom?” Do you feel completely overwhelmed by parenting, like some moments are even painful to you? If so, you've come to the right place. Motherhood is one of the hardest and most overstimulating experiences a woman will ever know — especially when you're a mom with ADHD, autism, sensory processing challenges or other neurodivergent traits. When your unique nervous system is always feeling tapped out, it's no wonder you feel trapped in your life as a mom!

Autism Therapists

What is the most effective treatment for autism?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) has come to be considered the standard treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder, and research has confirmed its effectiveness for many children. Therapists trained in ABA techniques work with children (and their parents) on developing social skills, communication and learning abilities, and everyday habits of hygiene and grooming. The clinician will tailor their program to the child’s particular need but the overarching goal will be to help them advance as far as possible toward independence based on their level of symptoms and decrease the need for additional special services. Families should seek a mental health professional specifically trained in ABA, and holding special certification in the technique, who has extensive experience not only with the approach but in using it with children with the same level of symptoms as the child who needs care.

How does ABA work?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) sessions, which typically focus on positive reinforcement, can be intensive, lasting two or more hours several times a week, and continuing for two years or more. Therapists can also be expected to ask parents to take an active role in reinforcing lessons. Research has found that the technique can lead to major improvements that decrease the need for additional special services.

How does treatment for autism work?

Therapy sessions based on Applied Behavior Analysis will likely be frequent, intensive, and highly structured. After a thorough assessment, a therapist will help a child understand and develop skills in a range of areas, including communication, motor skills, social skills, self-care, play, and academic skills, as well as routines of daily living like hygiene. Typically, the therapist will help a child break down the components of a behavior—often referred to as the antecedent (what prompts an action), the behavior, and the consequence(what immediately follows)—and then reward the child at every step, while also asking parents to reinforce the lessons, and the rewards, throughout the day. This core therapy may be supplemented by occupational or speech therapy, and antidepressants, antipsychotics, and anticonvulsants may be prescribed to address specific severe symptoms.

How long does therapy for autism take?

Some people with autism spectrum disorder may be engaged in some level of therapy for many years, but research shows that treatment will be most effective if it is begun early and delivered intensively. When therapy begins by age 3, children tend to be better able to grasp and adopt the skills needed to manage everyday life, including attending school and establishing social relationships. This type of early-intervention treatment regimen is highly structured, typically involving 20 to 40 hours of one-on-one therapy per week, along with additional hours of engagement managed by parents, for a period of two years or more, although the duration of treatment is dependent on the child’s level of symptoms and pace of progress.
