Welcome! My name is Brantlee, and I'm a licensed therapist dedicated to supporting young children (ages 4-13) and their families, as well as adults struggling with anxiety and depression. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we will work on practical solutions that can be implemented in your daily life. Combining 3 years of therapeutic practice with 10 years of experience with neurodivergent children, I offer a comprehensive approach to child development and family dynamics.

Parenting a child who learns, interacts, and develops differently than their peers can be a joy and a challenge. You may have wondered if your child has Autism, ADHD, or another developmental difference, or if your child is twice exceptional (2e). I specialize in comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children (infants/toddlers through school-age) to identify their unique diagnostic profile and to provide answers and guidance to their parents. I also provide treatment, including direct child therapy and caregiver coaching, to address areas of need and build on the many strengths of neurodivergent thinkers.

Dr. Curtiss has a PhD in Exceptional Children. Most of her work is with people with Level 1 autism/Asperger’s Syndrome. She has been a teacher for over 20 years and has worked as an Autism Specialist for over 10 years. She owns Curtiss Specialized Consulting and offers the following services: ADOS-2 (autism testing), autism support, transition support (moving from school to adulthood or from school to school), independent living and daily living skills support, career life coaching, and academic support/tutoring high school and college. You do not need to have an official diagnosis to work with Dr. Curtiss.

I counsel an array of emotional and behavioral aspects including ADHD/ADD, depression, personality disorders autism spectrum disorder, anxiety, anger management, juvenile crime prevention, men's issues, spirituality conflicts marriage therapy and substance abuse. I believe that people can change and grow throughout their lifespan identifying life challenges and making positive cognitive choices. Counseling can facilitate self-understanding as well as understanding of others. My clients range from adults and older adolescents dealing with individual life challenges, to couples dealing with relationship issues.

Clients come to me to create healthy coping skills, overcome unwanted behaviors and thoughts, and find a safe and understanding space to embark on a journey towards healing and empowerment. I am dedicated to providing compassionate support for individuals on the Autism Spectrum, guiding young adults through the challenges of anxiety and depression, offering treatment for kids and adults with ADHD, and integrating the principles of Neurodivergent affirming therapy. Wholeness leads to healing. I guide my clients to accept all parts of themselves and find balance in their lives. I entered the field of counseling with a passion for treating trauma (big T and little t trauma). Along the way I gathered some exceptional tools for doing so, including EMDR and a somatic approach to psychotherapy. Not so far removed from trauma, I have also developed a specialty in treating addiction of all kinds. I have seen the power of emotional healing to transform people's lives in ways they always wanted but didn't know how. We all have times of suffering in our lives; it is difficult to walk through those times alone. Having gone through my own healing in counseling, and being a "wounded healer" aids me in being able to help others deal with their own suffering. I worked as a youth pastor for 16 years and in the mental health industry for the past 15 years with adolescents, children, and their families. I seek to help families that are having conflict in their home as well as those having school issues.

Our ideal client is anyone who has a strong desire to better themselves and want a better quality of life. So often we become complacent in our discontent and just settle for what we are accustomed to, but I am here to help anyone who is ready to break through that shell and demand more from life!
